Earlier this year, Akon launched the Interscope-backed KonLive Distribution with releases from Kardinal Offishall (Not 4 Sale) and Colby O’Donis (Colby O). While both projects have suffered from lackluster domestic sales, each possesses a certified smash hit of a lead single (Dangerous and What You Got, respectively). Hoping that their combined talents can lead to success for his forthcoming release, Akon has selected both artists to appear on his junior album, Freedom. On their way to the club (once again), the three musketeers discuss their plans to snag a Beautiful woman and create an “all for one and one for all” scenario later in the evening. Co-produced by Jaylien 2010 and Akon, Beautiful might not be an official single, but it has club-potential written all over it. Freedom is scheduled for worldwide release on December 2.

Love it, Akon's really letting his voice carry him on this project. All of the material I've heard from this album have potential to be in that "historical, classic" type of music. The production on this is brilliant, and everyone shines bright. Great job.

Great thing about Akon is that he can fit right in on songs singing about his 9mm and saying that he'll Still Kill but he can also do the club-ready "disco-ish" joints

Good lord. The Konvict trio! This is a great song. Akon always comes correct. Although he sticks with the same formula for the most part, he's perfected the formula to the point he can it fresh for another few years with no effort. I personally think Akon and Kardinall would've done this track more justice tho. Colby did alright but one singer per track is a better formula i think.

I don't really like the dance/techno/house sounding Akon is taking on this album. "Na na na" was a copy of a dance music and the overall result is takin away the fresh sound I'm used to get from Akon. But I can't deny this sounds hot, specially at Kardinal's part and when the guitar comes in (it suddenly oozes Coldplay... anyone heard of vivalahova.com ?! ;) check it out)

Sounds like a beat Rihanna would be on. None the less this is catchy and hot. Akon is a genius he continues to make songs that people wish they could make like this and Im So Paid. Kardinal Offishall and Colby did solid. Great production. Hot day..added a bunch of songs just on todays songs to My DJBooth. Classic right here!!

I AGREE COMPLETELY THAT THIS WOULD HAVE BEEN PERFECT FOR RIHANNA! The sounds of the production sort of reminds me of "Apologize (Remix) by OneRepublic & Timbaland. This is definitely a hit though...but I just would have preferred anyone else other than Akon. Colby snapped nice on this though. I don't like the engineering mix on the vocals though. They could be WAY better.

The ONLY way to stay relevant for more than a week nowadays is to drop music that a DJ cannot resist playing in the club. Once the crowd feels it, rotation daily occurs. This could be THAT type of joint.
MH - I agree, Colby was VERY impressive. Rode the beat solid. FredRico - Kardinal comes hard on everything, obv as you pointed out, no exception here.

Kardinal is mos def. Offishall I wish he had a longer verse or more verses but he's my 'Rookie of the Year'. Akon knows how to put together some hot production but his lack of subject matter (with the exception of that MJ song) is undoubtedly the reason for many's dismay as well as the fact that (as far as I've seen; unlike Tpain) only rides the Auto-tune. Colby has yet to prove much to me other than he's about as 1d as Akon himself. I mean Girls are a subject that should be sung about but I mean dayyuuum how much is too much by the same artists?

Ive stated plenty of times that i'm a big fan of Kardinal and he goes hella hard...this is one of the few good examples...
Hook sucks, could build it up more...but thats akon, every songs hook is a repition of the song title 80 times... In rotataion but nothing spectactular |

Ok... so this is almost a rip from Alice Deejay's "Better Off Alone." (youtube it and see what I'm talkin about)The synth melody is almost identical. The pitches were just changed slightly. But the rhythms were identical. I would have rather them taken the actual sample from the song and gotten the copyright then making a half-ass new melody. I dunno why it bothers me so much but it does. I think Akon and Colby and Kardinal have talent so for the first time in a while I'm gonna have to go voice/flow/vocals over production

Akon's songs are always so pleasant and enjoyable to me...I really love I'm so Paid and Silver & Gold where he's a guest! This one has something of certain house tracks I used to listen to when I was younger..it's cheerful and catchy, I like it that Akon makes an hip hop for everybody, almost every person loves him! Banger!

Got the 1st version of this (without Kardinal)yesterday and I really enjoyed it. Kardinal goes real hard on this and I hope this is the official version and not the one with just Colby and Akon. I have no problem with the direction that Akon is going with his new album, I think its going to be very hot. This is a club BANGER right here!

Not feelin Akon's production these days. NA NA NA was horrible, however this one is at least playable. Colby made it his own. I think this one can grow on me. Yea I think I like this one for a change. Kardinal is a beast by the way. YEa this one bangs! =)
