Several months ago, Akon revealed that he had been in and out of the studio with none other than the King of Pop (sit down, Justin). He also explained that in addition to working on Jackson’s forthcoming studio album, MJ would also appear on the first single off the forthcoming Acquitted. Despite receiving no official confirmation from any of Akon’s three labels (many of whom seemingly take Monday off of work), it appears that the first single might actually be upon us. On Hold My Hand, Kon and Michael weave in and out of harmony over a melodic piano-synthesizer, eerily similar to the opening melody of Vitamin C’s classic (if that word could be applied here), The Graduation Song. Whoa! Was not expecting this song! I've gotta say...it's good...but I was expecting better. I mean, they are sampling THE GRADUATION SONG!?!? This song will be frickin HUGE though, and i know it will grow on me and i'll probably listen to it just as much as the next person, but for now, upon first listen, not my favorite...

That's pretty awesome. Michael Jackson baby! I've actually never heard him "featured" on someone else's track....kind of downplays the massive star power (like Janet Jackson on "Bust It Baby). But this is awesome. Akon snapped on the production and this could be an awesome classic. LOL. Speaking of that Vitamin C song, I need to go download and listen to that. I used to love that song and the production was just as superb as this one. I can rock with this. MJ is a legend. Idiotic music listeners need not rate this if you don't like it. Anything with Michael Jackson is a classic, so if you don't like it, that means you are obviously musically-challenged and have no business rating songs period.
Im more hyped over this album than i was over Tha Carter III!, Akon is at the top of my list and has been since Locked Up got that huge spotlight on it, and we all know that was a while back, Akon is just GREAT, in my thought i think that Akon has a better voice than Usher, and he definitely has more talent, i mean he's been in jail and took his experience from there and made it into a career on the most part, Great song, didnt see MJ coming though..

Not enough MJ in this song. He opens the song and that's about it from MJ. And to the person who said that song called "Gangsta" that's a better song featuring MJ, cause MJ got more of a feature and put one of his signature hooks on there.

hearing michaels vioce again on a different song something new just gives me chills, thinking about the HUGE accomplishments that man has made in his life, it is unreal. yeah he has his ups and downs. BUT WHO DOSENT? i really hope to hear something more from MJ soon. it would almost be like a huge come back. Even though michael was "accused" of things, deep down people still have a love for michael and his music.

This isn't bad. It's a little more poppy than I expected. I've heard rumblings that MJ has been in the studio with some of Hip Hop and R&B's elite over the past few years, so this collabo actually makes a little sense. Hopefully MJ can make a REAL comeback and maybe AKon with have something to with it. Akon's label and production has been on fire lately. Dude can't do anything wrong...

To me this is amazing. We've heard nothing positive about this legend for ages. What a great first step to mark what I hope is an epic comeback. MJ sounds exactly the same... All the way down to that little noise he makes before a verse. Sends chills. Perfect beat for MJ, pure genious by Akon.
