Several months ago, Akon revealed that he had been in and out of the studio with none other than the King of Pop (sit down, Justin). He also explained that in addition to working on Jackson’s forthcoming studio album, MJ would also appear on the first single off the forthcoming Acquitted. Despite receiving no official confirmation from any of Akon’s three labels (many of whom seemingly take Monday off of work), it appears that the first single might actually be upon us. On Hold My Hand, Kon and Michael weave in and out of harmony over a melodic piano-synthesizer, eerily similar to the opening melody of Vitamin C’s classic (if that word could be applied here), The Graduation Song. Whoa! Was not expecting this song! I've gotta say...it's good...but I was expecting better. I mean, they are sampling THE GRADUATION SONG!?!? This song will be frickin HUGE though, and i know it will grow on me and i'll probably listen to it just as much as the next person, but for now, upon first listen, not my favorite...

Im feeling dis joint! It helps u find ur inner-happiness! Just the fact that its MJ makes it good. And how Akon got him on dis joint is beyond me. Kinda weird but good nonetheless. Come back Jacko!

That's pretty awesome. Michael Jackson baby! I've actually never heard him "featured" on someone else's track....kind of downplays the massive star power (like Janet Jackson on "Bust It Baby). But this is awesome. Akon snapped on the production and this could be an awesome classic. LOL. Speaking of that Vitamin C song, I need to go download and listen to that. I used to love that song and the production was just as superb as this one. I can rock with this. MJ is a legend. Idiotic music listeners need not rate this if you don't like it. Anything with Michael Jackson is a classic, so if you don't like it, that means you are obviously musically-challenged and have no business rating songs period.

Im more hyped over this album than i was over Tha Carter III!, Akon is at the top of my list and has been since Locked Up got that huge spotlight on it, and we all know that was a while back, Akon is just GREAT, in my thought i think that Akon has a better voice than Usher, and he definitely has more talent, i mean he's been in jail and took his experience from there and made it into a career on the most part, Great song, didnt see MJ coming though..

michaelhannah easy on the attacks bro! The song is good but you can't possibly say that every MJ track ever made is a straight 5/5. It's good to see the great one back on the scene. Front like you not a fan of his music in the 80!! Shit I was michael jackson as a lil kid. You couldn't tell me other wise. Fact is MJ is the king of not only pop but music sales period. Show me a album that sold more than Thriller! You can't!! This song is very Mikeish. It's very him. I really dig it, but honestly I heared a song by micheal and Pra's new group. The track is called Gangsta. Streight fire. I love that one. This is a banger. Get that on here ya'll. The King is BACK!

Okay, allow me to jump in here real quick before this thread turns from Akon/Michael into one big argument. Note to WOW:)... probably NOT a smart idea for typing that you've NEVER listened to a Michael Jackson song all the way through. While I think its pretty much impossible to have lived more than 10 years and never once accidentally -at least- listened to an MJ joint from start to finish, you're looking for fight... please (I bet of you) choose your words carefully from now on...

Not enough MJ in this song. He opens the song and that's about it from MJ. And to the person who said that song called "Gangsta" that's a better song featuring MJ, cause MJ got more of a feature and put one of his signature hooks on there.

hearing michaels vioce again on a different song something new just gives me chills, thinking about the HUGE accomplishments that man has made in his life, it is unreal. yeah he has his ups and downs. BUT WHO DOSENT? i really hope to hear something more from MJ soon. it would almost be like a huge come back. Even though michael was "accused" of things, deep down people still have a love for michael and his music.

I'll admit. I saw the title and got nervous. But this is perfect. It's timeless music. This song is gonna be around for A WHILE! It's funny that even though Mike's almost 50 he still sounds the same. The Booth just made my day with this one!!

DJ LOS maybe u can only play this in the car with the music low and the windows up, but 4 me i will definetley bump this with window the downs and my system up, and based on the rest of the booth members, i would say they would too, this is classic micheal this was a great collabo, it just good to hear something from the KING of pop again
