Miami-based producer Streetrunner has built his reputation crafting beats on the more hardcore end of the spectrum, but he’s proven equally skilled at crafting softer, more intricate instrumentals (his boardwork backed Carter III cut Playing With Fire).  Thus, it should come as no surprise that the first artist he’s taken under his wing is a young lady who is equally skilled in both dimensions.  On AdELA‘s new promo single (and Booth debut), No Other Love, the 22-year-old singer/rapper expresses her devotion to a man who has her head-over-heels, showcasing her powerful pipes over an old-school, sampled instrumental sure to catch worldly female listeners’ ears.  Label execs beware: one listen to No Other Love, and you’ll be hopping on the next plane to Fort Lauderdale in hopes of signing Adela—and, odds are, you’ll be sitting next to four fellow execs in first class!

Damn, she is sexxxy. She sounded really good on this too. She kept a good tempo throughout the song and the production work was real nice. 3.5

I'm still waiting for the next Brandy or Alicia Keys, but only one word comes to mind about this track: forgettable. She's definitely got the looks, but her sound is mediocre, not much range in her voice. There's just something a bit straining about her voice, does NOT sound effortless and it makes it a tad uncomfortable for me to listen to.

I'm sorry, but for a debut single, it doesn't really cut it. The lyrics are uninspired and don't bring anything new to the table. Maybe she needed a male feature on this track to break up the rhythm a bit and to have someone to play off of. I can't fault the production, it's a playful beat that's been proven successful for songs like this.

The problem with GOOD LOOKING female urban-pop singers is that they usually cannot sing, using their face and body to mask a lack of true singing talent. Adela seems to have the looks part down, but her range isn't too shabby.

I'd like to hear a bigger sample size before I make a call, but Streetrunner did good by her on the introductory single.

I'm with @Obecalp on this one when he says - "There's just something a bit straining about her voice, does NOT sound effortless and it makes it a tad uncomfortable for me to listen to."
Streetrunner has been dropping some heat lately. But her vocals just don't seem strong and captivating for me to give this anything higher than ... 2.5

I think this is a dope track. Kinda brings me back to when rnb chicks did dope track over hip hop beats. Im feelin this. She has her own lane overhere and i can see why people would rate this poorly, Originality is hard to grasp if your in the grove of looking to find whats hot according to todays lame. Good job Adela.
