Ace Hood’s new song, You Already Know, operates on the premise that you’ve already heard of his prior exploits as a hustler and a drug dealer. Actually, Ace, I haven’t. Admittedly, I probably should have, as he likely won’t stay unknown for much longer. You Already Know is a radio-ready street anthem, complete with ginormous southern production and a sneakily catchy hook to boot. Hood brings enough swagger to the table to make each and every word he says believable, regardless of how outrageous some of his claims are. Kane Beatz’s production features a wailing organ and hyperactive drums that fittingly complement his barking. This track will appear on Ace’s debut album, Gutta, due out in August.
Note: The streaming of “You Already Know” has temporarily been suspended.
I kinda liked Ace's previous songs he had out but this song kinda proves that he isn't ready for a hit without a big name artist featuring on the track. Not really feelin the beat or the hook. The beat is just a little off because the organ doesn't really fit this type of song. And then the hook is really repetitive and gets boring, not to mention that the phrase "you already know" is old. I won't listen to this again, but it's OK.
Beat sounds familiar, anyhow, I am digging it. Ace Hood controls this beat from beginning to end. I like his intensity on this song but his lyrics are average.
I LOVE this kid!!, i haven't heard a track i dont like from him yet!, I KNOW hes got more potential than a lot of singers do, Lyrics are FIREE!, Charlies on point with the Hook, its Really Catchy, im Waiting for his album patiently, be Thankful he got with We The Best and not Jive LOL, oh and L()U13 just a hint but you Might wanna watch the language, family site bro
One of my favorite up and coming artists, and don't forget he the same age as soulja boy, maybe a year older, but I'd say he's what... about 500000x better? haha his energy is great, great person to sign to Khaled's label, wasn't sure about this song at first, but it grew on me quick "look out look out look out"
"Real rappers stay free in every one of our rhymes" LUDA! Speakin of Mr. Bridges and his DTP clique, this beat really reminds me of Duffle Bag Boy by playa Circle. Tip to yall drug sellin dirt doin MC's if you want the feds off ya ass, stop confessing in ya lyrics, especially if you are a new MC. Aside from that, this song is somewhat generic. Just like everyother song commin outta flo these days.
There we go BDF44.....Duffle Bag Boy! I knew it sounded similar to something. That's definitely it. I also agree that the song is not bad, but it really has no identity. I feel like it could be anybody rapping this. There's nothing special about the fact that it's Ace Hood. Even rappers I think suck like Shawty Lo and Soulja Boy have a custom sound, so when you hear em', you know it's them. This sounds like it could have many any Joe Blow trap star. Kane Beatz's unoriginal original beat is decent. I'll put this is rotation I guess.
Ace can spit. Point blank. Listen to his interview with me and you can hear him freestyle off the top of the dome. This isn't spectacular, but BIG PROPS for doing a joint solo without Khaled or any fellow FLO rappers on the guest verse tip.
man this dude is actin so HARD haha, nah sorry this dude is WACK as hell to me. pure trash. beat is alright for wbat it is, typical south shit with no real melodies
yung berg used this beat for his mixtape a few months back...anyways nice verses horrible hook unfortunately he still needs a feature for a hit record down the line just speakin the truth
This Beat Sounds way too familiar... Im getting a Playaz Circle- Duffle bag Boy! But it sound good... His lyrics could be stepped up... Ace is comin on strong
Its a hot solid Song. I think alot of people overanalyze. Just because someone use a organ in a beat, doesnt mean its a duffle bag bite. Just because someone use autotune doesnt mean its a tpain bite. Its a hot song though, hes actually grownig lyrically as a artist should. I think his Album going to be hotter than alot of people expect.
