You’ve gotta hand it to Ace Hood; the man knows how to choose his beats. Maybe it’s the influence of his mentor, producer extraordinaire DJ Khaled, or simply a natural ability to know right off the bat what complements his voice and delivery, but through his many DJBooth features, no one has complained about his production choices. In his new track, Get ‘Em, the Florida up-and-comer hooks up with The Inkredibles, who worked with him on his recent single, Ride. Ace is his typical, abrasive self, lashing out angrily at anyone who dares to stand in his way. The Inkredibles bring heat once again from the boards, laying down a banger of a beat characterized by its skittering bass drum, bright strings, and power chords. Get ‘Em will appear on Ace Hood’s debut album, Gutta, due October 14.
he can bust rhymes, kinda reminded me of twista for a sec, but cant compare to him. Song is koo, i think its better than average with a cool beat, nothing new so 3 1/2 stars
Ace Hood is not on my radar at all, I'm sippin Haterade with this guy. This song is so annoying to me, the chorus is more screaming than rapping. Production is decent, but nothing else keeps me listening here. It's a hard song, but a big pass for me.
He looks like the lovechild between V.I.C and the first rapper who spit on "Duffle Bag Boy" from Playaz Circle. This production sounds pretty good. Ace Hood is not lyrically exciting to me, but his delivery is full of energy. I'm sure a remix will surface of this with some hit making rappers though. That will get him the buzz he's looking for.
A good production for a mediocre rapper...I agree with u cb126405, he mostly screams instead of rapping! I'm really feeling the beat, though...it's energic! 2,5
The Inkredibles keep on impressing me. Their work with Ace might be what helps them take off (I'm thinking of The Runners work with Rick Ross on his debut). As for Hood, I love the energy and as Charlie pointed out, his flow fits the production perfectly. I'm ready for this album.
I've been watchin him since i first heard his DJBooth debut, blocka blocka blocka blocka!!, Ace is becomin one of my faves, but he'll need some more hits to top off at the top of my charts, but he still killin it!.
it's alright the production was pretty good ace spit a little on this one on a song like this you got to have someone else doing the chrous and featuring
The lyrics lack content, but Ace comes on strong with an energetic flow to match the production. Oh ya, about that production, it's straight fire! Definitely impressed by the The Inkredibles.
