Since he dropped his street anthem, Cash Flow, this past February, rapper Ace Hood has made a name for himself (and plenty of money). With his forthcoming debut, Gutta, inching closer to its August 29 drop date, DJ Khaled’s young artist has chosen his all-important follow-up single. On Ride, Ace is accompanied by the trendy hook-singing of Trey Songz and the production talents of The
Inkredibles, as he lays his feelings on the line for special someone. Following the blueprint of many emcees before him, the Broward Country native is clearly appealing to the music-buying female demographic–a smart A&R move after dropping a debut single directed at a completely different crowd. So, will Ace’s career ride or die? Check back on August 29.
Great production and hook, Trey Songs rocked this track but I dont think Ace really handled this song properly. Could have been a hit if his verses were better
Ace Hood hasn't been on my radar previously, cuz I really wasn't feeling him as a rapper. But this right here is really smooth. I can say first the "The Incredibles" production is INCREDIBLE. I know that's an A&R move to direct joints to females, but I mean, that formula is so overdone and played out. I wish it wasn't like that. But anyways ,Trey smashed this track nicely. If it was an actual better rapper, this song may have got 4 or 5 stars from me. Ace Hood's verses were a decent effort though, so I'll throw it in rotation as far as giving it three stars, but I probably won't be listening to it on the regular.
Interesting combo of artists. Still, not quite feeling this because the hook is not very catchy and the lyrics are average. Put it in rotation and see how I feel after a few more spins.
totally off subject but i didn't feel like sending an email..CHAMILLIONAIRE released a song from MIXTAPE MESSIAH 4 called CHAMILLI (ANOTHER MILLI FREESTYLE)..even though millions of rappers have done it chamilli DISSES SOULJA BOY. Chamillionaire lyrically backs up ICE T's statements on soulja boy so hopefully it goes up on the booth soon cause its ILLi
Fire. Smooth and hard all in one. Production brings that fire, trey brings that smooth swag, Ace did his thing too, for a radio friendly record. i love it
LOL how many of these dudes are gonna make these tracks and try to ride on the hooks of guest artists?? we had 2 Pistols already damn not another 1! Oh and Plies has Trey on his album too, who else I know there's more out there. And none of these songs sound different enough to make them memorable. what a waste, but go ahead Trey get ur name out there
i dont get the reason that rapperz have 2 diss soulja boy....itz not dat he KILLED hip hop @ all (if u think dat UR STUPID), itz jus he created/added on to SNAP MUSIC...he jus be-n him and if they dont like him they dont have 2 say any-thin cuz all it does iz cauze trouble....so now we have chamillionaire??, damn. ANYWAY, i like DIS song a lot cuz i like trey and hiz voice and i real-e am start-n to like ACEz style...plues he hott 2:)...itza BANGA!
whoever is picking this guy singles is a genius because the production from both singles are crazzzy .Overall This a hot record! espcially for the summer!
DJ Khaled's first signed artist = straight killer. Haven't heard a bad song by him...... just like I hardly hear a bad song from khaled. Stop hating khaled, he produces hit records and apparently is great at discovering talent.
I've had my eye on Ace since Cash Flow came out, lovin his flow on Everything he has been on, Production is really good and both of there voices work with it Great, BANGERR!! Imma grab that album same day, still dont top the hype for me over Akon's new album lol.
There's so much wrong with this: He sounds just like Plies, I feel like I've heard this song a million times before, and he rhymed "Clyde" with "House", but somehow I still love it.
This the hardest girl song out right now "If you ride or die ,we gonna make it out the hood" i love the message. This one actually talkin about somthin other than referring to a female as a "bust it baby" or a song about how u want to give someone "The business". Radio is gonna eat this up shortly ;)
Luv Diz Tune !!!
It Getz Nuff Replay On My Ipod!!!!!
My 2 Man Dem On Da Track Nyc!!!
I Love Trey, Da Boi On Evryting Dese Dayz!!!!!
My Trey Baby!!!
Bless!!!
This song is crazy. Trey Songz has maybe his best hook he's ever made and Ace Hood does a pretty good job rapping. Production is good too. I never thought I'd rate a song 5 stars for what looks like a possible one-hit wonder rapper, but this song is amazing.
This is pretty good music. My only problem with it sounds exactly like bust it baby pt 2 like Charm Parker said I mean you have 2 rap verses then the RnB verse back to a rap verse its like a complete copycat.
THIS SONG ALRIGHT,BUT STARTS TO IGNORE ME BAD,CUS IT SEEMS LIKE THE LYRICS DON'T CONNECT WITH THE MUSIC,THAT'S I RATE THIS RIDE JOINT ALMOST IN-ROTATION,BUT OK!!!!!!!!!! SUCKS!!
