After five weeks on the margins of the Urban radio charts, Ace Hood’s second single, Ride, moved up five spots last week to #25. Since there aren’t hard and fast rules regarding the appropriate time to capitalize off of sudden chart success, Hood and his label decided that now was a great time to unleash an equally radio-ready remix. Over incredibly catchy production work from upstarts The Inkredibles, Trey Songz is replaced by T-Pain on the hook (who got the better end of that trade?), Def Jam labelmates Rick Ross and Juelz Santana each contribute a verse apiece, and Hood adds two newly-spit sets of 16. Despite being delayed three times since August, the Floridian is set to drop his 14-track debut album, Gutta, on November 18.

The beat is slightly different but I like the original better. The Inkredibles production is incredible on dis song! Juelz Santana and Rick Ross didnt necessarily make the song better but they didnt make it bad better. I'm bumpin dis all day! But i give it a 4...usually like originals better. Orginial is classic
Fire. Better than the original. Rick Ross was out of place though in my opinion. I've never been a big fan of him.
Muzik_guru: I think T-pain will fall off once everyone else rips off the vocoder for a bit longer. Soon enough; Kanye, Wayne and T-Pain will all run it out of style. Kanye and Wayne can keep a career without it as both are greatest artists alone. However, T-pain sounds terrible without the vocoder (especially live, its terrible) so once the vocoder is out his career will be too. (Plus, he's a much better featured artist than performing on his own; his albums have never been better than average)
Much much better than the original, this one puts the original to shame. This one has got much more energy and bounce on it, plus Ace delivers his best verse to date. Ross fits this production perfectly, and isnt it good to hear from Juelz Santana?! I wasnt big on Ace Hood before, but this one will def put him on my radar. And oh yea, T-Pain does his thing (again). Official banger here, he's got a hit.
WOW, this is MUCH better then the original the new tweaks to the beat fit well, ross did his thing same thing with santana it flows alot better for me know, a solid 4.

Taking nothing from Trey, but this is banging. Ace layed it down and T Pain hooked it. Rick and Juelz did their thang and the Inkredibles woke it up. It's a definite.
At the beginning of the song I was perplexed about the voicebox (of course it's T Pain!) but I must say this song was remixed very well. The old edit was one of my favourite songs of all these months but this one is cool, too. Not cooler than the previous, though! I'm feeling the production, the melody remains the same. I got used to the voicebox in the hook so I'll give this song a 3! Just because I like more the other, but it can be a banger
PattyPatty85, if you are such a hater of the voice box(which is actually a program called autotune), and you know that T-Pain always uses it, then why do listen to every single T-Pain song? Seriously, i see a comment about how much you ate T-Pain and the voicebox(autotune) in like every song by tpain on this site. If you are a t-Pain Hater, DONT LISTEN TO HIS SONGS!!!

Well, it's true I don't like the AUTOTUNE but it's also true that I listen to every song with it because in some of them it may sound good. I give a chance to every song, in fact I wrote that I got used to hearing the voicebox here and the track was good! Why shouldn't I listen to a song because I don't like T-Pain? Everything has nuances, there's not only black or white, that is to say I don't like it and I won't listen to it. I listen and then I give a comment, good or bad! If I don't like an artist very much but he sounds better than the usual, I wanna write it! That's what I think.

@Muzik_guru: I don't see that happening any time soon. His sound adds a nice touch to most songs, as long as there's a good beat.
@Kayleb & C-Pain: Even T-Pain, himself, and his producers call it the vocoder, so that's probably what would lead others to do the same.
If this was the original minus T-Pain (he f***'d it up, here's to Trey Songz) there is no telling the magnitude of what Ace Hood's career would've started off with. Well with the soft start with the original version and that other song we'll just have to see how he progresses.

J2 Approved: First of all, T-Pain actually said it was autotune, listen to any of his intrerviews. 2nd of all, he doesnt have any producers, he produces all of his own music
I'm feelin this one better than the original for sure. It's great to hear my boy Juelz back on some songs. Rick Ross spit well as usual. I'm still not sure what to make of Ace Hood yet. He's okay, I guess. He kinda sounds like Bow Wow except wit his voice a tad deeper. I think T-Pain sounded better on this one than Trey Songz.
This remix sucks!!!! Trey Songz was better at the hook, and the beat on this is not as light as the original. It ruins the song when the bass comes in at the beginning of everyones verse. Rick Ross and Juelz were both forgettable. Ace Hood was the only good part of this track. -- I just noticed that I completely disagree with you J Roc. Anyway, I'll stay with the original.
