Ace B8gie - Corey Endorphin
Artist: Ace B8gie
Producer: Bobby Johnson
Album: Endorphin Extended Play
Label: Unsigned
Last we heard form Ace B8gie, the Windy City native was boosting his mood by assuring himself that every day, in every way, he was getting Better and Better. Of course, positive energy by itself isn’t enough to take you to the top; you’ve also got to channel those good vibes into your hustle. On the follow-up, Ace puts his nose to the grindstone, demonstrating that he’s got the willpower and work ethic to match his upwardly mobile mindstate. Beatsmith Bobby Johnson backs the emcee’s motivational wisdom with thumping percussion and an exotic string sample. For more, check out Endorphin Extended Play when it drops digitally Monday, December 3.

Ace B8gie reminds me of BG at times with the flow...This Bobby Johnson beat is pretty fresh. Good track to add to the rotation.

Ace tried his hand at a street banger, but it doesn't come across as authentic to his lane as previous features. I like the energy, but the effort feels a little flat.

Definitely see the BG similarities that DJ Blaze brought up. I respect the fact that Ace went this route and tried to do a street track like this. Ace has talent and he can really flow, regardless of what ever beat that he spits on. The man is versatile and that is something that is unique about him. Gonna look into this upcoming tape dropping soon.

I don't see the too much of a street element, but I recognize beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.
Regardless, I think this another strong effort from Ace and that chorus is catchy as hell. FOC is really doin their thing right now. |
