New York rapper AC is going for dolo delf with his rock-infused track, I Engineer. Not yet on par with notable names like Jim Jonsin or Rick Rubin, the up-and-coming young MC is letting it be known that he is studying the game. Self-produced by AC, as well, I Engineer tells the tale of cooking up that ill song that everyone should hear. With a cool demeanor, and confidence behind the mic and boards, AC’s right to the throne in New York may be a long time coming, but he’s making a strong claim at being one of the next in charge.  I Engineer can be found on the brand new Back 2 The Basics mixtapes, presented by Legend, DJ Nice, and Statik Selektah.

Why is every sooo scared of hip-hop music that merges with other influences? Rock music is the biggest and most popular form of music in the history of this country and whenever it appears, even slightly, in rap music people get scared. The lyrics are solid, but I agree the flow was inconsistent. Download their mixtape asap, people. I see you, Legend!

Hey this isn't all that bad. The rock mix on the beat is done well and the flow is decent. I'll spin it in rotation

Z I agree with you...like you I noticed that when you put songs with rock influences they often get low ratings...I find that these 2 genres are very good together! In fact I'm feeling this song, the beat is good and I also like the girl in the hook, it fits the electric guitars! AC's flow isn't that bad but it's a lil weak, I'd like to hear him louder

Great song man. I dont know why its not on the internet more. My friend found this track and ever since i heard it i looked for it. screw all the haters this is good music. these kids are too wrapped up in mainstream sounds and are too scared to hear anything new.
