Has 8Ball always displayed some real narrative skill, or is new release Lucky’s Theme Song one of our first tastes of his ability to get on his storytelling grind? Either way, there’s no doubt that the Memphis veteran breaks out some serious pen work for Lucky, telling the tale of a robbery attempt at his home over a cinematic beat from Mista Raja and Sef Mill that belongs on a soundtrack. I have to say I’m impressed, rap doesn’t get any realer than this - if only more emcees had an Uncle Lucky. For more certified realness fans can grab a copy of 8Ball’s upcoming album, Life’s Quest, when it hits retailer’s on July 24 via eOne.

Solid effort from Ball, but whenever I hear a Ball solo record it always makes me realize how much better he sounds next to MJG.

I'm feelin the whole vibe of this 8Ball track. This is different work from 8Ball, but I like it a lot. Great track... This is the type of joint that you gotta play at least two more times to feel it to the fullest.
