Apparently security isn’t tight enough around the G-Unit fortress because 50 Cent’s highly anticipated new album Before I Self Destruct leaked yesterday, prompting the quick release of Fiddy’s brand new collaboration with Eminem, the horrifically banging Psycho. Psycho is in many ways a historic hip-hop occasion, reuniting the old Aftermath family as Dr. Dre puts in epic work behind the boards, dropping an intensely suspenseful beat, 50 returns to the raw and uncut flow we saw on Crime Wave (though what’s up with the English accent in the beginning?) and Eminem does what he does best; drop a mentally imbalanced verse full of Octomom death threats. There’s no way radio’s going anywhere near this one, and that’s exactly what longtime 50 fans will love about it. While Interscope is likely to push up Before I Self Destruct’s release date after the leak, the album’s currently still slated to hit stores on November 23.

Fifty defiantly stepping it up, i thought he had no right being on the hottest mc's list but damn he cut it up here. Eminem is holding down his shit. Looking forward to hearing more from self destruct.

ooo this is what I'm talkin about. 50 has been somewhat disappointing lately with his mixtapes but this was sick. Good to see him back to his old flow. Eminem is a bastard lol. He never disappoints. Dre's boardwork is real tight also. Banger!

is it just me or is 50 copying EM's formular for these types of topics on the song????
HOT HOT HOT SONG!!! 50 totaly held his own on this track!!! i wonder if 50 can hold a radio track that gets good reviews because what normaly happens is: A) critics - like th ones on here, DJ booth - love the song; but the general public (radio) hates it!!! B) critics hate the song; the general public loves it!!! C) all the above (not to quote maino) i think his albuam will be C!!! |

After The Massacre, I stopped being a 50 fan but wow! This song is for sure one of his best in years, maybe since he did Get Rich or Die Tryin.
I love 50's flow and he came hard with the lyrics, like he actually took his time and put some effort in it. Of course Em was great, when is he not, and Dre's beat was spooky and slick. I thought he was slippin after I heard Relapse. Great work from all three of them. |

Actually something from 50 I can tolerate. He definitely fell off my radar. I don't plan on paying him much mind anymore.

Sorry, but I don't see where the hype is comin from... I'll be honest, I have never been a fan of 50 but I did give this album an honest listen... and i just dont believe a word the man says, about anything... lackluster album is a perfect way to put it

OK, 50 did not need to be on this track, eminem continues his winning streak with straight up single handidly killing the entire song. 50 here is decent, he's still living in his fantasy world filled with "hollow tips and bullet proof vests" and dre's beat on here fits the hardcore rap vibe.

Its a decent track, 50 matched Eminem on this (which is a good thing), though the production is dull & reminds me of the production you hear on a lot of mixtapes.
IMO, 50's main problem at the moment is that his ear for production isnt anywhere near as good as it was 5 years ago, his flow & lyrics are still pretty good to listen to... usually |

Honestly, overall I'd say this feels like more of an Em track than a 50 track especially given the dark subject matter, but either way it's still damn good. Can't wait to hear "Before I Self Destruct"

OK, this hits all the right switches for me, ha, feel like a game of Fight Night Round 4 or Def Jam Fight for New York, somethin where you get to annihilate or 'be' annihilated [coughs'whatever'coughs] if you know what i Mean? MEAN.
Boardwork is bananas, 50 + EM + DRE = triplethreat. MORE PLZ |

I DON'T GIVE A FU*K WHAT NOBODY SAYS... EMINEM IS and HAVE BEEN THE BEST RAPPER ALIVE SINCE 2000, A LOT OF MUTHAFU**AS DON'T WANT TO GIVE HIM HIS PROPS THOUGH CAUSE HE WHITE BUT I DON'T GIVE A FU*K WHAT COLOR YOU ARE..."IF YOU HOT, YOU HOT", I "GIVE CREDIT, WHERE CREDIT IS DUE", THAT'S THE WAY IT'S SUPPOSED TO BE... HIS LYRICS and WORD-PLAY IS RIDICULOUS EVEN WHEN HE'S PLAYING AROUND and HE WILL MURDER ANY RAPPER IN THE GAME TODAY LYRICALLY!!! I MEAN: WHAT MORE DO HE HAVE TO DO TO GET RESPECT?

Word Up! 50 is officially BACK! This beat is crazy right here...I knew it was Dre without even looking at the producer credits. 50's Flow is killin' this beat. EASILY BANGER $hit with just 50 on it, but then you throw Eminem on there and you have an instant CLASSIC! I like this a lot!

I didn't really like anything 50 Cent has come out with lately, but this is good I must admit. It was hot that 50 and Em traded off every 8 bars or so, Eminem's wordplay is just nuts! and 50 kept up with Em through this whole track. Production and hook just fits in.

Alright lets get this out of the way first. Anybody who puts eminem on a track with them has to know that they are going to get blown out of their own verse. There is no rapper alive today (maybe Nas on a good day) that can beat him.
Now as for this song, I would have to agree and say this is more of an Eminem song than 50, and the production is a little boring for a dre beat, otherwise it's a banger. What I really want to know is how his whole album got leaked already. How does that crap happen? |

banger for sure. Whenever 50 and Em team up it's always a classic. Em forces Fif to step his game up. Afterall I'm sure Fif doesn't want to look like a bum on his own track like Em's done to so many others. The Beat is sick too.

I like 50 Cent's new beats. I definitely liked Baby By Me more than this song, though! Production is hot and I loved the hook. Eminem's verse is cool! The only part I don't like is 50's verse, I don't like his flow so much. In rotation!

beat, flow, and chorus are all Psycho. to me, this sounds like 50 and Em's song. they both came through and they both had equal parts. who cares whos album its on. i must say, this is 50's best yr since '03.

lol overhyped 5hit. dre beat is ok but COME ON, not THAT good...god. just cause you see the dre production label doesnt mean you have to fine-tune yourself to automatically like it.
flow is good but read the lyrics ppl, they make no sense, eminem talks some crap about killing people and rhyming random words basically. 50's So Disrespectful off BISD is even better than this. |

This song would have to be one of my favorite 50 songs since GRoDT. It honestly does sound more like an Eminem song, but that's probably because of the subject.
It's still sick, though. |

YO! You all don't know how happy and relieved I am that 50 was able to do another track like this for the album. From what I've heard of it it seems like a solid effort. 50's flow was straight CRAZY! Em did his thing as usual of course. Dr. Dre was the man on here too with the production. THE PLATINUM TRIO'S BACK!!! Shady/Aftermath and Interscope is looking pretty good. BISD has been leaked, but 50's making his way back on top of the rap game.
