50 Cent - OK, You're Right
Artist: 50 Cent
Producer: Dr. Dre
Album: Before I Self Destruct
Label: Shady/Aftermath/Interscope
Whether it’s about his ridiculous beefs with Rick Ross, Fat Joe, and The Game, his refusal to release Young Buck from his contract with G-Unit, or a perceived decline in the quality of his musical output, 50 Cent has been picking up a lot of hate lately. Now, 50’s put all that negative feedback to use as inspiration for his latest single; on which he tells all his haters, “OK, You’re Right.” It doesn’t matter to him, though—he’s too busy blowing massive wads of cash to worry about their criticisms. Something tells me that this record will meet a warm reception from the Booth, due in large part to Dr. Dre‘s dark, Get Rich or Die Tryin’-style beat. If OK, You’re Right, along with Get Up and I Get It In are any indication, Before I Self Destruct just might be the return to form fans have been waiting for. The album currently lacks a solid release date, but you can expect that to change very soon.

50, 50, 50...what can I say? Heh, well, first off, I love the production. Second off...the flow is ok. But, I know he cn come harder. MUCH HARDER. By far not his best. However, certainly not his worst either. I'll put this in rotation. Almost a Banger because of that production, but not quite.

Pretty much what bowwserr said. Dre's beat was hot. 50 sounded decent. He could definitely have come harder on this beat, though. Rotation.

The production by Dr. Dre is the highlight as it sounds great complemented by 50's voice. The hook is alright and I like the way 50 flows on this. Solid track.

I been away for a while, but this right here is a solid banger. Fitting for this to come out the day of Em's album. I actually expect 50 to bounce back to the top with Before I Self Destruct. This is a good start...

as a fan of 50 i expect more from him lyrically. i heard a song called They Burn Me which is rumored to be a new song, and i hope so, because he talks about real ish, not just about how much money he has, which we all know is a lot

One of the best tracks I've herd from 50 in a while. The production was super crispy and banged hard and 50 sounded surprisingly refreshing.

OK I'm one of those that can't stand 50 Cent as a person, but I can still listen to some of his music. I hate that I like this track, but I can't deny it. It's mostly because of the production. His flow is kinda cool but not great and I don't agree wit the message of the track at all. I can't hate on a solid track, tho.

To quote my friend, Michael Hannah: "One of the best tracks I've herd from 50 in a while. The production was super crispy and banged hard and 50 sounded surprisingly refreshing."
An album with 13 more of these and he'll be just fine. |

Wow. It's so good to be back. I missed the BOOTH!!! I haven't felt 50 for a few years now. But I am digging this track. I will be listening to this for awhile. This track is nice and smooth. Sounds like the ol' 50!!! Go Dre! His flow and style has a different feel on this track.

It is a pretty good song, but I will not rate it since I am extremely bias on any 50 album not titled "Get Rich or Die Trying". Unfortunately this doesn't change it for me.

50 actually wasn't that bad,he needs to find someone else to sing the chorus cuz thats the only flaw ,dre's beat was good.

Unlike the rest of you, Im not a fan of this track. I didnt like 50's flow or the production from Dre.
Dont wave the 50 hater stick at me either, because I could care less about what beefs he involves himself in. Its all about the music in my mind. @Lega-c - What was wrong with "The Massacre", I consider it to be a pretty solid follow up to GRODT. |

Now it's a good start. BTW Get up and I get it in are not on album. This is also not a single that's why i'm giving it a 4, it's a solid album track, would've been a single, i would give it 3. Now 50 for the official first single off B.I.S.D. either make it gangsta like: wanksta, popping them thangs or lyrical like: hate it or love it, many men

Damn what i find interesting is people who didn't like get up or i get it in like this song, but people who liked get up and i get it in, don't like this song, see how hard for 50 to please everyone

Lega C, the only album in fif's category that doesn't add up is Curtis. I mean Massacre had his most lyrical songs like(although i don't listen to him because of lyrics) Baltimore Love Thing, God gave me style, Ryder Music. and some catchy gangsta songs (the ones listen 50 for) like: Ski Mask way, Gunz Come Out, and I'm supposed to Die Tonight.

Time to use my official catchphrase
This beat goes hard as dicks! 50s flow could have been more menacing, but he still put in work, I can't hate it. I really like it actually |

his latest work was a huge delusion to me. i still think that this man can prove something, and finally he understood how he needs well crafted beats to spit on (still i can't understand where "get up" failed... maybe the content). he needs to stop shitting on other rappers. that's no good for him, since he ain't better than others when it comes to the rhymes...

Heh this song is better than what I expected... It's definetly something that can get repeat material from me (and that's actually something that's hard to do nowadays)... Although I do feel that this is NOT 50 at his best! I feel that his flow and lyrics coulda came a bit harder (and I know this cause of his Get Rich or Die Tryin' days) but this is catchy non the less... And is it me or does anyone else feel that this beat shoulda been given to Eminem instead? Just a thought :)...
Also this is more of a mixtape track than something that should be on an album... I can't see radio play written on this. And one more thing! 50 needs to STOP trying to recreate "In Da' Club" over again, just face it, it's not gonna happen, his last attempt was "Get Up"! But anyways... 3.5! |

@Lil Majer - Yeah, this would sound better if it was Eminem spittin'. But, I would honestly choose Em over 50 any day of the week. 50 just doesn't do it for me anymore.

It's aight. I can see people dancing to it in the club but will it get "in-traffic" rotation? Probably not. I would probably skip to the next track (assuming it was better than this one.) Why do people still want to listen to someone brag about how rich they are when economically things are in the toilet.

beat is dope, and 50 does 50 on this. Nuthin special from him, but its not a bad track. I'm still not ready to jump back on the bandwagon tho. In rotation

Listen to this and then listen to Eminem's "3 am".. the flow is exactly the same. It's amazing that a dude that hit the scene so hard could fall off like he did (and is still doing). He's done.
