50 Cent - I Get It In

Artist: 50 Cent

Producer: Dr. Dre

Album: Before I Self-Destruct

Label: Shady/Aftermath/Interscope

 Send Ringtones to Your Phone

Originally set to drop this past December, Before I Self-Destruct was subsequently pushed back to February because 50 Cent wanted the chance to release more new music in the meantime.  For the last month, we’ve heard nothing from 50, and his reality show, The Money and the Power, dropped off the air with no conclusion

(ed: though widely reported, rumors of the show’s cancellation were, in fact, false). Just when it seemed like the G-Unit general might be done for, he premiered his newest single , I Get It In on (where else?) ThisIs50.com; having gotten plenty of drinks into his system, 50 starts blowing plenty of money on the surrounding females (something he would NEVER do sober).  Once again, his Aftermath boss, Dr. Dre, goes hard with the beat; since that boost has worked on In Da Club, Disco Inferno, Outta Control, and Straight to the Bank, there’s no reason why I Get It In shouldn’t prove another club banger and regain a few lapsed fans along the way.

This song first appeared on the Rap Chart on January 12, 2009

Booth is doin it big with Aftermath/G-Unit tonight. I like this from 50. It's a little somethin different in terms of his actual songs and related to singles. To me, this sounds like a really really hot mixtape song that will work as a single. I like the flow on here and the fun lyrics. Dre's production is a little down compared to Crack A Bottle, but I'm just glad the Big 3 are back!

Alright. Sounds a bit like a bootleg "Just A Lil Bit". 50's been going down for a while in my eyes. Don't have much hope for another Get Rich or Die Tryin'.

I will give this track the same rating I game "Get Up". Both tracks are okay, but they are not what 50 promised us. He told us that "Before I Self Destruct" would be a different, more open album from him, and so far these two singles aren't saying much. It just seems like he's trying to recreate "In Da Club" and he never will. Banger but I'm not impressed.

heard this last night and its good joint to promote the album... lookin forward to his grimey stuff but of course the grimey stuff doesnt appeal to mainstream america so record labels will push for a radio friendly club joint. nonetheless, good to hear fif back at it again

The production from Dre is brilliant on this & 50 put down a good performance with the mic, this is a better song then 'Get Up' imo & overall I prefer this to Crack A Bottle, though both are great songs. 4.5

this COULD go hard in the clubs and on the charts. something's missin though, as with Get Up. I don't think there's enough goin on with the production. Also the hook leaves much to be desired. I won't be surprised if it underperforms.

I think it's because you people see high ratings that you feel you have to rate the same. Ya'll have been hatin on 50 for the longest time and now he makes a banger??...Nope, don't get me wrong I am a 50 fan but I think this one is just ok. It's nothing new from him. He sounds the same w/ one of those chill relaxed beats. Maybe though opinions will change now since I'm rating a 2. haha.

Hook is WACK! Spittin the whole week in the same level of those lame rappers spelling words?!? Come on Fif! And the “melody” is not catchy.
This doesn’t bang at all! Percussion is cheap: two basic monotonous elements! I’m with DJJ all the way, except I’m sure this won’t be a hit like the “In da club” magic he’s obsessed to recreate.
:( I don’t know who I’m more disappointed with: 50 cent or Dr. Dre’s production (on this and Crack a Bottle!) I don’t even dream of GRODT anymore, just give me a “massacre” and I’ll be fine!
PS: WOW:/, you’ve been witty since you changed your writing! :p your “conceited” remark will get you a lot of hate if people don’t get the joke though, lol

The production is pretty fresh. The lyrics aren't bad...but nothing super special. The production and energy carries this joint. I'd listen to it again just for the beat..so it goes into rotation. (That little piano part was dope!)

Typical 50 song where he tries to make a club song with a dope beat. The beat is really repetitive and his lyrics bore you and have no flow. I am not feeling this at all. Might be a hit to some other people but this aint hot at all. He can do better...just cuz he aint released music in a while dont mean errbody gotta start rating 4's and shyt but thats your opinion. Hook sucks...flow is average at best.

The Em and 50 tracks are both average at best, but a lot of people are falling over themselves saying old Em is back, but 50 is past his prime. I might agree with the latter, but what makes people think Em is gonna drop something that's on the level of the material of his past?

This is really just average, 50 kinda lost it to me. I am pretty sure 50 interpolated this "Sunday, Monday, Tuesday..." thing from this old classic http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FDVzaTMF-ps
Dre is deaf tho. The 1st piano chord that hits has a key that is totally off! The dissonance hurts my ear badly.

We all sorta knew something like this would come SOMEWHERE on his album. The beat is screwed, and 50 does his typical thing. The piano was there to add some "melody" like FredRico said, but it doesn't work. Confused on how I think the outcome of this album will be.

Hey Rich, I have to make a correction for you...The 50 Cent show, Money and the Power is actually back on the air. It was falsely reported as canned, but it came back after the holidays...It now shows on Fridays at 1am!

As for the song...I am happy that Dre is back working with his artists finally. This production is tight. I am sure it would sound Rediculous in my Bimmer! Can't wait to play it there! LOL! Anyway, the lyrics are REALLY on-point. Very nice Flow! Chorus could be better, but This is a Certified DJ BLAZE BANGER!

The music will get you off ur feet but the sythns or whateva the background effects are is repetitive and there just isn't enough going on with the production. It's a bland dance song to me. But you can still dance to it so it isn’t completely bad. His last single was better.
