Flowing over Team Demo‘s no-nonsense boardwork, driven by boom-bap percussion and ominous piano loops, the G-Unit head honcho announces his intention to spark a Crime Wave, describing the impending chaos in loving detail and even offering listeners some sage advice: “I’m not tellin you to shoot somebody, but if somebody try to shoot you, then shoot ‘em; don’t waste time n*gga, just do it!” On second thought, it might not be the greatest idea to take street safety lessons from a guy who’s managed to get shot nine times… Regardless, fans will finally be able to get their hands on Before I Self-Destruct on Nov. 23.
