Here in Minneapolis, it certainly doesn’t feel like summer’s right around the corner; at 46 degrees, it’s actually a little chilly. Things are, of course, a little different for ATL resident (but Chi-Town representative) 4-Ize, who announces his intent to make full use of the warm weather on New Day, the lead single off his forthcoming AwesoMania LP. Here, the sampled production stylings of the J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League set an appropriately summery mood as Ize describes how he’s planning on spending his June, July and August – from family reunions, barbecues and carnivals to simply rolling through the streets with the top down, checking out the half-dressed females (“I’ll make it look like it’s the ‘Nuthin’ But A G Thang’ video.”). While some of us – myself included – may need a few more weeks to fully get into the spirit, this mellow single could hardly be a better soundtrack for the sunny days ahead. If you agree, keep it locked for more leading up to the fall release of 4-Ize’s latest full-length.

This is my favorite record of the day. J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League continues to prove they are a future force to be reckoned with in urban music and 4-Ize, who has been working and working for years - may just have the right ammunition behind him to finally make a dent in this industry.

Although I've never heard of 4-Ize, I've been a J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League fan since Center of Attention with Wale, so I had to give this a listen. 4-Ize does well, and I'm diggin his shirt, but to me he takes a backseat to the hook and the production.

J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League always impresses me with their production. 4-Ize however, doesn't have me convinced that he lived up to this beat's tremendous potential. 4-Ize was by no means, this track's downfall as his verses were very listenable. I actually dislike the hook. The singing just didn't do it for me.

"Summertime's back, as soon as it's gone you know its coming right back," thanks for reminding me 4-Ize. I'd listen to this again. Solid effort.

I'm really liking this song, it's putting me in a good mood. To me the best part is the hook, but that doesn't mean 4-Ize was bad cause he wasn't. I'd listen to this again with no problems.

I still havnt heard a weak piece of production from J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League. They have been the most consistent production team in urban music for the last 2 years.

I didnt really like the hook, though the verses from 4-Ize were pretty good

3.5

Definitely a feel good BANGER!!! to turn on outside, on a nice spring day, out on the lawn, shirts optional, grill started up and just knockin' back some cold cruisers with the bros, you know the deal.

It isn’t hard to picture the song catching on, but I do think "feat. ___" in the title would help it further reaching radio stations. The background beat flows perfectly with 4-Ize’s enthusiastic yet cool delivery, and the hook is perfect for the turn from spring to summer.

My Pick for Track of the Day.

Should I rub it in to Richard and point out that in L.A. it's beautiful and sunny right now, just like it was in January? Naw, that'd be mean.

I've been a 4-Ize fan for a minute now (that "Illuminated Animals" mixtape is dope), but while the production and hook definitely have that summer anthem feel, I just don't think 4 has the flow and voice to pull off a good times party jam.

JUSTICE League production is always nice, but the singing in the track ruins it. U-Ize has a nice flow.

Probably the best song out there for this update. Another summertime production. Dude's another average rapper. The chorus got a lil annoying after a few rotations. Good beach song though.

Justice League always comes with that soulful vibe. The hook sounds too common, but i guess that not necessarily a bad thing.

The production completely overwhelms 4-Ize on this. On the other side, I don't think he took full advantage of this banger production. Give me the instrumental instead.

I'm sure you gotta pay crazy bank just to get a J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League beat because I swear every single production that I've heard from them has been amazing. The question is whether the artist with their beat and can put it to good use and maximize and unleash its full potential. I've heard many great J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League beat go to waste but this song is the contrary. 4-Ize lyrics are not top-notch but he keeps it catchy and gives you that summer vibe on this track. Hot song!
