The sweet-talk 2 Pistols employed on My Gurl (set to hit radio on February 11th), must have worked like a charm; on his latest release, the emcee’s love interest has taken the bait, agreeing to go to his place for a little action with the Lights Low. Though featured artist Young Joe requests that the woman in question, “don’t tell nobody the freaky moments that we share,” on his soulful hook, Pistols has no compunctions about kissing and telling – in his breathless verses, he gives listeners an explicit rundown of the night’s activities, but laces the tale with enough compliments to make any lady blush. The rapper’s self-produced beat doesn’t hold any surprises, but invests the record with enough slow-burning sex appeal to make it a potential second single. Though 2 Pistols describes himself as Arrogant in the title of his forthcoming sophomore LP, what we’ve heard thus far has proven that the rapper is not afraid to show his sensitive side, at least when it comes to the ladies.

2 Pistols did FIREE on this production!!, I had NO idea he could go like that.. Young Joe does a GREAT job, ive never heard of him, but i'll do some research, 2 Pistols kinda gives me a Plies feelin on this one for some odd reason.. but im likin it, BANGERR!!

I agree, the production is pretty fresh. Young Joe wasn't fly at all. 2 Pistols' flow was decent, but not really something I would play again.

Smooth ride type track. I've always felt 2p was slightly underrated. Most of the tracks he's brought out have been good. Mostly due to the production, but even then you can't deny him.

I hate the chorus honestly there trying to imitate the T-Pain style and there trying to hard. 2 Pistols was iight..nice slow beat this is average nothing special

Song is kool.... Some good lines here and there, but overall I think it should be in Rotation....
cos right now I'm not feelin this upon first listen.... the best part is Prod. ..... It has that nice smooth feel to it, something you can just throw on and listen to when you're in that mellow mood ..... |

Good effort from 2 Pistols, i think he's changing alot of opinions here at the booth (mine included) from being someone that needed a good hook to have a decent song, to being someone who can deliever a good song despite a lack of a catchy hook (Young Joe was decent, but he cant compare to some of the hook singers in 2P's last album.)

Just because they used the melody of "Buy you a drank" verse on the chorus instead doesn't make it less PLAGIARISM!
What saves this from a garbage rating is the guitar on the verses... that was a HOT feature. 2 pistols might be a better producer than a rapper (which is sayin much). |

See 2P - I told you people would like this one! Nice production work from Pistols (whoda thunk?) and solid job of making sure his own artist, Young Joe, is spotlit and not outshining him.
Nice complement to 'MY GURL' w/ Slim... keep it up.

Who likes the lights off? Lol ... but this is hot.. I'm really like'n this! Young JOe is straight offical... I'm loving the chorus to death here! As for Pistols... I don't know maybe they should of had someone a little "softer"?
