As Vibe Magazine hails Plies as the “future of rap,” the Florida goon is giving singer 1 Lee his full endorsement as the next street R&B star. On Acting Like, a hood cut produced by the Jazze Pha/Jim Crow-influenced ATL Fatboys, the duo call into question the heart of those who talk big, but choose to remain quiet when the drama is turned up a notch. Though the arrogance on this track is astounding, both artists seem to carry some credibility – right? With a yet-untitled debut set for a March release, 1 Lee might have a lot of work to do if he wants to break free of the trapper rapper curse, but he is well on his way to becoming an MTV/BET darling with Plies by his side.

This song was too fake for me. I wasnt buying into the hard, street type. The result was a pretty annoying attempt. And if I'm wrong and it really is harder than I thought, then it's just not my cup of tea. I thought we were shying away from that hardcore killing rap music, where is the love??

Firstly, the chances of a record making it to the radio with this much cursing in the chorus is near zero.
If you remove the profanity - which in a sense would take away from the song itself - this really shows off 1 Lee's voice (ruggedly smooth, if that makes sense). As for Plies the man is consistent. He is a Booth-favorite of ours, so not hating around here.

MAN! I'm pissed off I even was prompted to click on this BFI, GARB-A-LARBAGE. What the &*&% was these (*(*%#($($*#$W thinking when they *%&%&%# recorded and release this (*(^$%#*&%(*& wack song! What the *&%# is music coming to? Negative 525,600 stars for this one.

lol michaelhannah ..... idk about this track .... its not as bad i was expectin it to be .... remix? lol ..... but it was ok .... the course is too repetive and the hook gets annoyin .... by annoyin the voice is lil too squeekish ..... could ez'ly be better

I don't like it... His voice is so scratchy and feminine, he can't really deliver a song with such a potent claim "acting like a hoe, acting like a @*#$!"; come on now, this is just High School shyt-talking with a beat!
Plies... You should know better than to support someone singing about NOT being what they are! Smh. |
