Snoop Dogg Talks About His New Album Malice in Wonderland [Exclusive Coverage]

Legendary west coast rapper Snoop Dogg met up with reporters earlier this week to delve into the details of his latest project, Malice in Wonderland, his tenth studio album and an achievement for an artist with such an illustrious career. The mood of the event was intimate as he parlayed with reporters on questions ranging from his longevity in the game to the recent Tiger Woods’ scandal (he supports you Tiger…btw). Throughout the event Snoop relayed a sense of maturity in his answers, talking about how he has switched to rapping about much more positive topics from the more gangster themes he used to rap about, mentioning the irony that his classic track, "Murder Was the Case," was released just four months before he was battled his own murder case.

Snoop apparently has bright views for his career, saying that in 20 years he’d like to be starring in his own show on Vegas, proving that he’s determined to extend his career as long as possible and is a long way off from retiring. When pressed on the theme of retiring in Vegas, Snoop remarked that much like Frank Sinatra the greats never retire. Instead, they continued to make music into their later years, and that’s exactly what Snoop would like to do.

How has Snoop managed to stay relevant in a music industry that’s always on the lookout for young talent? Snoop revealed that he talks to his kids to find out what is “hot” in the industry, saying that his desire to give them something to dance to and enjoy as the inspiration behind his smash single, "I Wanna Rock." More than a decade after he first burst on the scene Snoop obviously shows no signs of slowing down, and if this press conference is any indication, I’m personally excited for his future ventures.
