New York, N.Y. -- With the beginning of a brave new decade fast approaching, RefinedHype.com and DJBooth.net have decided to take a final look back and come up with a list of the biggest, best and most important urban tracks of the past 10 years. Little did we know what we were getting ourselves into. After weeks of research and intense debate, factoring in Billboard performance as well as subjective considerations of artistic merit and musical influence, we are proud to present our complete, cross-genre lineup of the Top 25 Songs of the 2000s!

If we learned anything from those days spent arguing whether "Hot in Herre" or "Trapped in the Closet" were more historically important, it's that there can be no one definitive list. While we stand by our choices, we invite you to enthusiastically agree with some selections, vehemently disagree with others, and of course come up with your own lists.

Thoughts? (Click individual song links for a full explanation of selection).

1) 50 Cent - "In da Club"
2) Eminem - "Lose Yourself"
