KRS-One & Buckshot “Road to Survival” Producer Contest

Filed Under: News, Contests          by DJ Z on Jul 20, 2009

Producers, DJs, Remixers!

Duck Down Records, Mick Boogie, and DJBooth.net want to hear YOUR 2009 renditions of KRS-One and Buckshot's classic tracks! Eight lucky contestants will have their remixed tracks featured on the ROAD TO SURVIVAL Mix CD joining the ranks of today's rising MCs performing their renditions of the original tracks. To be clear, producers are submitting instrumentals for emerging MCs to rhyme over (The MCs will be announced shortly).

Submissions should not be remixes using KRS-ONE & BUCKSHOT acapellas. For example Buckshot rhymed over a 2009 version of "WHO GOT THE PROPS" for a Mick Boogie Mix CD (right click and save as to download). This is also a great opportunity for aspiring producers, remixers, and DJs to get exposure for their under appreciated work.

ROAD TO SURVIVAL Mix CD will be featured on the homepage of IMEEM, KRS-One & Buckshot's social network profiles (MySpace, Facebook, etc.), DuckDown.com, and released to all the top hip hop websites/blogs.

Check back with DJBooth.net to see artists' confirmations.

Submissions must be in by July 27th.
