Santa Monica, CA -- MTV’s “Discover & Download” is known for breaking new artists. This month they chose St. Louis rapper Jibbs and have made available audio downloads of his new hit single “Chain Hang Low.” The video for the hit track can be seen on all MTV platforms - MTV, MTV2, mtvU, MTV Hits and MTV Jams. In addition, the song , a play on the children’s rhyme “Do Your Ears Hang Low?,” is a hit at three radio formats, was featured on HBO’s series Entourage and is a top selling ringtone. Jibbs’ full length debut, Jibbs feat. Jibbs will be released on Geffen Records October 24th.

Over 825,000 ringtones of “Chain Hang Low” have been sold making it one of the industries top current sellers!

15-year old Jibbs was discovered by his brother, Da Beastaz’ DJ Beats, a long time producer for St. Louis natives Nelly and Chingy when he began free-styling while joining his brother in the studio. Shortly thereafter he began opening up for artists such as Chris Brown, Bow Wow and Young Jeezy and quickly began getting offers from several major labels before signing with Geffen Records. In addition to Jibbs being a talented rapper, he is also a boxer having twice held the Golden Glove Championship.

Jibbs is currently in the midst of a 15 city tour of High Schools in the U.S., performing for the students and then fielding questions about his music and the music business.
