Baller/Rapper Ron Artest to drop debut album, My World, on Halloween
Los Angeles, CA -- Baller and Rapper Ron Artest will release his debut album, My World, on October 31st via his own record label Tru Warier Records, and Lightyear Entertainment, with national distribution thru WEA. Special guests on My World include Mike Jones, Diddy, Juvenile, Allure, DJ Kay Slay, DJ Big Kap and others. Included with the main version of the album is a 50-minute DVD on “Being Ron Artest,” which includes footage from several live performances, three full-length music videos, and footage with Ron in various settings of his life.
Ron performed on several dates this past summer including opening for Young Jeezy in May and June, and opening for Fat Joe on a European tour in July and August. Ron also performed as part of the pre-event festivities for New York City's Hot 97 Summer Jam festival, and opened for Ludacris in September.
Ron is well aware that he will have to work very hard for people to consider him as a music artist and is also very cognizant of the fact that his hometown of Queensbridge has bred some seriously talented rappers, which he deeply respects. My World can be described as partially autobiographical, and includes socially-conscious songs “No Good” and “Coroner,” fun, party songs “Working the Pole,” “Fever” and “Nasty North,” and the honest, no-holds-barred “Haters.” Ron hopes that everyone will be able to relate to this album, which includes special guests Mike Jones, Juvenile, Diddy, Allure, Nature, Capone and featured DJs Big Kap, DJ S N, and DJ Kay Slay.
