Atlanta, GA -- Atlantic Records has released a new, Chris Robinson-directed video for T.I.'s seventh Paper Trail single, the Justin Timberlake-featuring "Dead and Gone."

I heard this song on our route through Baghdad and I immediately felt that sense of emotion that does not come by often. The beginning bass and underlining rhythm was powerful. When I got back to the fob I looked up the loop lyrics by JT and found it was rapper TI. I am out of synch with what's hip, hell, I feel I'm losing touch with my oldest son (he idolizes rap artists and he is only 12, so artists, please consider this when you are in fact their role models). I'm in Iraq on my fourth year and to me this song transcends many lines and I feel that I too am trying to earn my way back home. Peace. Mr.X |
