That lengthy resume has made Guru one of hip-hop's leading sound engineers, producers and DJs, and DJBooth is giving you the chance to interview him!
Simply submit your questions for Young Guru as a comment below or via Facebook. He'll then pick the best questions to answer during a live talk to at the A3C Music Festival. His work with Jay-Z, the audio equipment he uses, the art of DJing, it's all on the table, so ask away!
If you can't make A3C don't worry, we'll post video of the interview so you can hear Guru answer your questions. And those planning on picking up A3C Passes can catch Guru twice during the festival:

Saturday, October 13 (4:00 - 5:30): Young Guru Presents: The Era of the Engineer, sponsored by Akai Pro and featuring a live demo of the new Akai MPC Renaissance.

My question is in regards to videos taken during shows. I purchased a Nikon D-7000 with intentions on building a rail system for shooting concert/gig videos. Where I am stumped is tieing the sound from the live board to the video. Forums and instruction on doing so say to simply go from the record out on what ever main mixer you are your to the 1/8" microphone jack on the video system and shazzam its works. But I have yet to set this up properly. How does your crew handle getting quality sound to video at live concerts? I am guessing you use timecoded video/sound. But I am curious.

What direction would you give to someone in awe of what you do, but who has never work in you field and wants to be good at it like you are?
