Here at The DJBooth we strive to always keep our readers well informed of all the latest album, mixtape and EP releases. So every Friday we will preview the week ahead in new releases, highlighting the hip hop projects, both free and sold, that should be on your music radar. Starting with...

Drake "Nothing Was The Same"

The buzz for Drake’s third studio LP has been bubbling ever since he dropped “Started From The Bottom” back in February. Now, the anticipation is almost over as “Nothing Was The Same” finally arrives next week. The Toronto artist has been the center of the Hip Hop blogosphere’s attention over the past few weeks with strong reactions to his song “Wu-Tang Forever” and the leak of his entire album just a few days ago. In spite of all that, Drake appears poised for yet another chart-topping album two years after the widely successful “Take Care.” And with his penchant for creating hits, Drake will likely be a major topic of conversation throughout the rest of the year. The Foreign Exchange "Love In Flying Colors"

A chance connection on the OkayPlayer message boards almost a decade ago has turned into quite the fruitful partnership for Phonte and Nicolay. The former Little Brother emcee and Dutch producer have turned a once-side project into a Grammy nominated powerhouse in the R&B and soul industry. The Foreign Exchange makes its triumphant return on Tuesday with the release of “Love In Flying Colors”, their fifth studio album. The duo has kept fairly quiet about the new album outside of dropping the lead single “Call It Home” a few weeks ago. But a heavy promo campaign isn't necessarily needed when fans are chomping at the bit to get Phonte and Nicolay’s new LP. [Full Preview]

Guilty Simpson & Small Professor "Highway Robbery"

It appears Guilty Simpson favors the cohesive sound of working with one producer on his records as the Detroit heavy hitter teamed up with another beatmaker for his latest solo album. Following past releases produced by the likes of Madlib, Apollo Brown and Eric Lau, Simpson has turned to talented yet up-and-coming Philly producer Small Professor for his next offering, “Highway Robbery.” Due out on Coalmine Records, the LP sees Guilty Simpson detailing the struggle to survive in the Detroit jungle with a 10-track soundscape provided by Small Pro. DJBooth will be streaming the album, so don’t let this release pass you by on a busy Tuesday, it may very well end up being one of the best of 2013. [Full Preview]

Tanya Morgan "Rubber Souls"

The departure of Ilyas two years ago caught many fans off guard, but Von Pea and Donwill have manage to keep the Tanya Morgan flag flying high. Tanya Morgan will deliver their second project and first proper album as a duo this Tuesday with the release of “Rubber Souls,” which is produced entirely by 6th Sense. Tanya Morgan supporters will have incentive to pick up both the CD and vinyl versions of the new album, as bonus cuts exclusive to each format will be included on the 10-track release.
