Akon’s Protege Ray Lavender #1 Most Added At Urban Radio

     
Apr 09, 2008 - New York, NY -- Akon Protégé and Geffen R&B rising star RAY LAVENDER's hot new single "Stay," written by R&B star Tank was the #1 most added at Urban radio last week. The lead single to Lavender's self-titled debut album, "Stay," is an ode to women where Ray speaks on dedication in relationships despite the daily challenges. This is Ray's anthem of unconditional love. RAY LAVENDER, the album is due for release summer 2008.



RAY LAVENDER recently shot the video for the "Stay," which was directed by Eric White who directed stellar videos for Chris Brown, Ruben Studdard, and Bobby Valentino. (Images of Ray, Ray with Akon, and Ray with Tank from the video are available upon request).

"Stay" follows a stellar performance on Showtime at the Apollo where RAY LAVENDER was literally pulled from the stage after a sexy performance (video available) of his street single and underground hit, "Donkey Kong."
