10th Annual Mixtape Awards Scheduled For December 7, 2006

Here is a timeline of events:

THURSDAY, DECEMBER 7

12:00 PM - Press Conference and Unveiling of the Mixtape Museum

6:00 PM - Red Carpet with Awards Presentation to follow. A Press Room will also be available for the duration of the awards and immediately afterwards. (performances to be announced)

11:00 PM - Exclusive After-Party

FRIDAY, DECEMBER 8

10:00 PM - General admission After-Party with performances by Clipse and Papoose

This event is sponsored by Foundation Magazine and Power 105

The late Justo Faison, founder of The Mixtape Awards, created the awards ceremony to bring respect and recognition to mixtape DJ's across the world of Hip Hop, who otherwise would be overlooked. The New York Times noted that "Thanks to Faison, the mixtape world even has it's own annual ceremony." Last years attendees alone included Sean Combs, winner of the Lifetime Achievement Award, Fat Joe, The Game, Kay Slay, DJ Red Alert and a host of others and past awards attendances have reached well over 10,000.

This years awards will be streamed live via high definition internet television provided by Sandbox Group and streamed live via Sirius Satellite Radio. BET/Rap City will provide post-Awards coverage and MTV Sucka Free is providing exclusive backstage access coverage.
