February 28, 2011 Chart Recap
Welcome to the Booth’s Top Mixtapes Chart! As always, your feedback has determined which projects made the cut. The lineup is calculated using a special DJBooth Formula that takes into account download numbers, as well as overall popularity throughout the site.
Two new projects debut atop our Mixtape Chart; NYC buzzmaker Emilio Rojas snags first with the new, untagged version of Life Without Shame, and Apple Juice Kid follows in second with mashup collection Dance Clash. Last week’s front-runners, OverDoz’ Live for, Die For and Coolroy (Lite)‘s Charlie, fall to fourth and sixth. Also new this week, Koncept and Tranzformer‘s More Than Meets the Eye, June Summers’ Hookman for Hire and Q Da Kid‘s Trendin’ Topic debut in fifth, seventh and ninth. Absent from last week’s lineup, MeLo-X‘s More Merch EP resurfaces at #10. Edged out by the new and returning picks are The Electric‘s Hey You Guys!, Grant Parks & Vudu Spellz’ Hip Hop the Rebirth: (Real MCs Real Skillz), Rapsody‘s Return of the B Girl, Skewby‘s More or Less, The Dysfuct‘s Love Boat EP and Actual Proof‘s The Talented Tenth.
