Underground buzzmaker Wax has hooked up with DJBooth.net and RefinedHype.com to bring fans his latest street release, the highly-anticipated Scrublife mixtape.
Hosted by DJ Skee, the project features 16 brand new joints from the DMV representative, including reader-acclaimed leaks “Red,” “Music and Liquor” and “Mary.”
Collaborating with Wax throughout Scrublife are fellow up-and-comers Herbal T and Dumbfoundead. Along with beats by the artist himself, the project features guest boardwork by EOM, The Fyre Dept., Dale Firebird, Finatik & Zak and Jim Jonsin.

Considering that I have been listening to Wax (& Herbal T) since they first started playing music (it was kind of hard to ignore, living in the same house as we were), I have to say that he has come a VERY LONG WAY. I am so proud of what he has accomplished and how he doesn't perform just the average run of the mill hip-hop/rap...that he is very versatile and diverse. There is a little bit of everything on this mixtape...something for everyone. He's not an artist with a voice only for rapping...he can sing too. I love you little brother and am over the moon proud and happy for you.

Incredible. Every song is great, and Wax really shows his range. He can do a serious, relaxed song and then a song later can switch into a funny, upbeat track. He's so talented and versatile. "Don't Need" is my favorite track.
