After months of anticipation, the release of STS’ full-length debut, The Illustrious is finally here!
This free album features 15 cuts from the DJBooth.net Freestyle Series alum with appearances by Yelawolf, Fonzworth Bentley, the incomparable Tony Williams and more.
Recorded in Atlanta’s legendary TreeSound Studios, The Illustrious finds STS planting his flag in the new hip-hop landscape. To insure the proper picture is painted, STS gathered up some his personal favorite producers to provide backdrop complimentary to his distinct style, including Ski Beatz, Alchemist, Will Power and Emile.

I really like this dude - I mean one of my favorites. He's a great lyricist and he is putting it out the for the fans. I loved the demand more albums.That said, this one is a bit of a step back. I'm not too sure I dig the pimp angle on this one. Overall, it's good, I was just expecting more. I'll have to give it a few more listens.
Hope he manages to stay true to himself through his success - cerebral and positive. Still just a super talented rapper with great potential to do some really unique stuff. |

This guy is something else, really like every song on this tape and his flow and lyrics are so dope. He reminds me of a southern Big L. Really great album.
