In anticipation of the release of The Indie Life: A Motion Picture Album, a short film featuring music from the artist’s forthcoming studio album, DMV rapper SmCity has hooked up with DJBooth.net to bring fans his The Indie Life EP.
Produced entirely by DMV beatsmith Judah, the project features five brand new tracks with an emphasis on raw beats and lyricism, including DJBooth.net-premiered leak “Thin Air” (Watch video here). Guest appearances come courtesy of Jayne Kennedi and reader favorite K-Beta.
If you like what you’re hearing, check out The Indie Life: A Motion Picture Album when it premieres in April, paving the way for the May release of SmCity’s The Indie Life LP.

Not sure I was hearing the same thing heard on the far side ;) but this is serious bizness. Not sure I would have made the same mix decisions (chrs being king) but this is a good project. 3.5 rounded up for showin' love.

Alright.. I love the old school beats in this but the vocals were just ok. There needs to be some new stuff on the album though the whole thing sounded the same to me
