Florida representative Prote-J has joined forces with DJBooth.net to bring fans his highly-anticipated sophomore street album, Dope Raps & Kit Kats.
The follow-up to last year’s Good Hip Hop Meets Radio, the project features 12 tracks worth of new material from the Papua New Guinea-raised emcee and freestyle series alum. Included are Booth-approved leaks “Organs Play,” “This Life” and “Bigger Things.”
Joining Pro throughout Dope Raps are Bobbi Ruffin, Wreck Wregular, Joe Clark (also a freestyle series contributor) and Lou. In addition to production by Prote-J himself, the project features beats by Costa, The Makers and The Trackoholics.

Just like the title suggests, it's nothing short of DOPE. Everyone should download this asap! Prote-J really shines as a producer and an artist, and this entire mixtape clearly shows that. "Nightfall" is on repeat right now!

From start to finish, I loved this tape. Gonna have it on blast for quite some time. Bigger Things, This Life and Together are my favorites out of the bunch.

The mix of violins, drums, piano with the synthesized beats aligns with Prote-J's vocals/lyrics to convey emotion and truth. There's honesty in his words and delivery. I agree "My Life" is good, and I never really liked "Grenade," but the remix is hot. Wish Prote-J was a little more in it at the end, though.
