Nikki Lynette has hooked up with DJBooth.net and Digiwaxx to present Roses N’ Guns: The totally bad ass mixtape that rocks, a street album which finds the Chi-town emcee/singer/producer combining hip-hop, R&B, rock and pop influences to craft a genre-bending sound all her own.
The project features 13 tracks’ worth of original material, including reader-acclaimed, DJBooth-premiered leaks “Nothing to Worry About,” “Beneath My City” and “Glory Box,” as well as two cuts that were recently licensed to MTV.
Produced by Matt Hennessy and Nikki Lynette herself, Roses N’ Guns comes complete with guest appearances by Mickey Factz, GLC, Pugs Atomz, Mr. Robotic, and Atlantic Records’ newly-signed rock/power pop group, I Fight Dragons.

 damnnn i loveeeeeee nothing to worry about its the best on this mixtape her flow is too amazing.
but that chorus is ok for me she shines on this track. so bad ass is pretty ok im more impressed that she tried to go hard though on a a rock beat type instrumental. and it did well. "aint nobody try an tell you to buy my vag" hahah you coulda had me is just plain fun its way too funny and that beat is mad playful its a cool track but damn "you could take my vomit and feed it too the next chick"??? wtf (ISSUES) haha its really good and she did her thing on this mixtape cant wati too hear original work from her |

ok so ive listened some more to this mixtape and ive got just one thing too say....................
........... ....ITS THE BEST MIXTAPE IVE HEARD EVERRR. WTF its deserving of a 5 classic classic classic please djbooth change my rating from a 4 to a 5!!!!! |

If you are looking for something different, unique, AMAZING! I highly suggest download this mixtape. Her three features did not do her justice as this tape is filled with so many insane and crazy tracks. While Nikki does in fact have some pretty great vocals, Her rap skills are superior to so many rappers that are out there. Really makes you wonder, why the fcuk is she not signed?
My top five tracks on this, in no order, are: 1. Nothing To Worry About 2. Best In The World 3. Glory Box 4. You Coulda Had Me 5. 72 Virgins I honestly could have listed just about every single song on this tape. There wasn't a single filler on this track and my expectations were exceeded tenfold. Looking forward to more dope music from Ms. Lynette. 4.5 |

i love it. i just wish it was longer. in a day and age where other rappers are offering 22 tracks for free, I guess i was hoping for more music.
then again, most rappers offer 22 songs and less than half of them are good, so maybe 13 was the perfect number. i have never heard a mixtape that sounds so much like an actual album. She should have released 72 Virgins as a single. This bangs. 5 stars, no pun intended. |

Nikki is the first woman i have listened to in awhile, but in a hip hop world run by men, she is definitely holding her own. This is a totally bad ass mixtape!
