Nikki Lynette - Roses N’ Guns 2: The BADDER ASSED Mixtape That Rocks

Windy City emcee/singer/producer Nikki Lynette has hooked up with DJBooth.net, Digiwaxx and VSOP Studios to bring listeners her latest street release, Roses N’ Guns 2: The BADDER ASSED Mixtape That Rocks.
The follow-up to last year’s Roses N’ Guns, the project features 14 tracks’ worth of new material from the freestyle series alum. Included are reader-approved leaks “Crossroads,” “The Beautiful People,” “Bird = Word 2.0” and “Pick a Side.”
Joining Lynette on the guest tip throughout Roses N’ Guns 2 are Dwele, Krayzie Bone, Pugs Atomz, and I Fight Dragons. All production comes courtesy of Lynette herself and Matt Hennessy.
Fans of Nikki Lynette can currently hear her music in licensed use on MTV, VH1, Showtime and Fox programs.

If you have only listened to this on a laptop, YOU HAVE TO play it in a car or just on some real speakers...it bangs! Love how I can hear her growth from the last mixtape to this one. I was skeptical if she could outdo the first mixtape but she did it. Nikki >>>>> Nicki (I like Nicki Minaj too, but gotta be honest)

d mac (above) get's it right. 2 or 3 brilliant tracks, 2 or 3 good, a couple ok, a couple that just don't really work.
However, what you get here is an "Album", maybe it's the rock influence coming through? I love Nikki Lynettes creativity and am enjoying the project ~ well done. |

Musically diverse as it gets, fantastic production, solid flow, and she might be the smartest female emcee makin waves right now. Love the Archer sample on Nobody Loves Me, and She the F Up Boy is so damn catchy!
