Brooklyn buzzmaker Jeff Chery has joined forces with DJBooth.net, Team RSinal and Quota Ent. to bring us his new, highly-anticipated street album, The Transition.
The project finds the longtime reader fave and freestyle series alum showcasing his versatility and artistic growth over the course of 18 fresh cuts, transitioning between underground, commercial and crossover styles throughout. Included are Booth-approved leaks “They Get Around,” “Come From,” “I Bet He’s Nice” and “The Pair.”
Collaborating with Chery on The Transition are fellow Booth fave K. Sparks, NYC mainstay CurT@!n$, rising R&B star L. Jaye and Young Money signee Lil Chuckee. DJ Unexpected provides scratches, and original production comes courtesy of such beatsmiths as P Haze and Kalaj Dame.

This dude shows improvement with everything new, this mixtape is a problem, so many different tracks, concepts are sick, didn't realize he was talking bout sneakers on "the pair" till the end

There are some decent tracks on here but the production was pretty redundant for 18 joints. It kind of bogged down for me towards the end.

I like Chery. His versatility in both his flow and approach at song making really make him a force to be reckoned with. Not his best mixtape, but you gotta respect the fact he is able to deliver on each and every song. Gonna have this one on repeat for a while.

i dont like candy girl, im just tired of that sound. also i dont like when they scream out the producer's name at the beginning all the time. but theres some gems on this though. steady mobbin is straight from young money that max headrome style. i give it a three. well a two for now. keep working homie you got potential. i see what you are doin though, and i kinda respect that.
