Reader favorite Cymarshall Law and UK rapper Skit Slam, together known as Everliven Sound, have hooked up with DJBooth.net and Kevin Nottingham to bring listeners a new collaborative mixtape entitled Freedom of Speech: The Last Word Benders.
The official prelude to the June 22, release of their sophomore full-length, Freedom 2 (HiPNOTT/Freedom Ent.), the 29-track street album features a blend of freestyles and original material. Included on the project is Everliven Sounds’ acclaimed Booth debut, “What Should He Do.”
Providing beats on Word Benders are The Beatnikz, Mr. Joeker, T.A.S.K. Productions and more. Guest artists include Reef the Lost Cauze, Lola Maxwell, Hakim Green and RAtheMC.

  I've been a cymarshall law fan for a while, so naturally I was excited for this mixtape, especially after being a tad disappointed after his last one. Sadly many of the tracks on this one give me the same feeling as the last one, sorry cy but during alot of your cuts I just feel bored. Both artists have strong wordplay, and are good writers, but I always feel like somethings missing. Another thing, the mixtape is to long. Shoot for quality over quantity. My favorite track on the mixtape would have to be Dropping bombs.
I wanna see better Everlivin I really do. I thought meteowrite was a great cut. But idk just not feelin this. 2.5 Rounding up. |

its pretty straight especially the freestyles like box in hand and songs like dart gun they sound epic man box in hand beat is classic!!!!
say it freestyle is nice too but i cant get over the box in hand its epic this mix tape sounds damn good 4 stars its way straight |

ok rewind that its official mr and mrs right is my fave track on here mainly because of lola maxwell her wordplay and flow is so unique compared with this beat its epic!!!

For as long as I knew Cy and Skit they had crazy lyrical skills, The Last Word Bender is another testimony of that. Get the full length album 6/22/2010 "Freedom 2".

I love the fact they are trying to put out alot of music with 28 decent tracks on this mixtape but would of been better with around 16 good quality songs.

I have to once again agree with The5JAY13... In my opionion Cy isn't very versatile when it comes to being able switch up his style every now and then. Different song, diffent mixtape... same style, over and over. His style is comparable to battle rapp or something to that effect; what he does, what he'll do, he..he.. he. By no means is this a dis to Cy but he's not growing any. He's very talented but boring. Still a decent mixtape.

The5Jay13 I can respect your opinion I don't agree , but I respect it , if you don't know what is missing is anything really missing? If i said something was missing I could tell you exactly what also If someone who i like their music wants to give me 100 tracks Ill take that its for free and a mix tape! and Diamondboy I respect your opinion too BUT you sound like you have NEVER heard any of my real albums , Versatility is my strongest point i can tell you have some homework to do google my King with 4 Wives video , then google my Love , Sex or What Video then google my Harder Than Thou video , then google my Dear God song and then my Kids with Guns Gorrillaz freestyle then Addiction and then the The Takeoff and then Live While You Can and then tell me who doesn't have versatility and i could go on and on , my mix cds are free so no im not going to put album material on it , battle rap is the last thing you should know me for , please do your homework.
