Madison, Wisconsin’s DJ Pain1 has hooked up with DJBooth.net to bring fans his latest street album, The Waiting Game.
The project finds the buzzmaking DJ/producer uniting organic samples, screaming synths, hard-hitting 808s, gritty breaks and catchy melodies into an eclectic yet cohesive whole. Included among its 19 fresh tracks are Booth-premiered, reader-approved leaks “Now You Know” and “Roots.”
Produced entirely by Pain1 (aside from one record co-produced with Jcuse) the project finds the headliner joined on the mic by an all-star lineup of collaborators, from new-school stars (Gucci Mane, Yo Gotti, Joell Ortiz...) to old-school legends (Money B, Grandmaster IU, TEK...). DJCas and Memory contribute, respectively, additional drum programming and guitar.
