Up-and-coming emcee Dee-1 has joined forces with DJBooth.net and O.M.A.R. Entertainment to bring fans his latest street release, I Hope They Hear Me Vol. 2.
The project finds the New Orleans representative showcasing his skills in 18 brand new tracks. Included on the mixtape is Best of the Booth Award-winning single “Jay, 50 & Weezy,” as well as reader-acclaimed leaks “Ridin’ by Myself” and “It’s My Turn.”
Joining Dee throughout I Hope They Hear Me Vol. 2 are MURS, Mickey Factz, Mannie Fresh and the legendary Mac. Beats come courtesy of Rockaway Prod., Steve-O, Oscar Wild, DJ RJD2, Mannie Fresh, 5th Child, Phurnace, DJ Eagle Eye, Cuzin Mike and Flight School.

Ahhhhh I have been waiting for this so long!!! I just ran through the whole tape for the first time, this dude got some serious HEAT and every song is different, I gotta give Dee-1 props man he bringing hiphop back in a BIG way.

It took me a while to get used to the voice but there were so many good tracks on this mixtape that my ears just fell in step. This one of the more lyrically potent releases this year. A lot of intelligence in this release.

I've been listening to this straight since I downloaded it. DOWNLOAD IT. Dee-1 has his head straight on his shoulders. Definitely has substance and talks on important things. "Uncle Tom" talks about black people and the ones immediately subservient to whites and ashamed to be themselves... don't wanna write an essay but just an idea. I'm definitely a fan. He did this without sounding too preachy and got his points across greatly. Dee-1 !!!!
