You wanna know why Atmosphere/Rhymesayers sucks so much?

They rap over flat tracks that have no hook or dynamics.

Unfortunately Das racist is entering this pattern.

So of this sounds like Eminem programmed the beat tracks it is so snoozy.
The textures of the first are in the back seat on this one, it takes a few listens to really find a comfortable ground. I am not looking for another Taco Bell, I want another Broooown.

If Diplo and them can get together for the next one it would be the club cd of the decade.

Gotta disgree with the previous posters. I thought the production on this mixtape was dope and I didn't find it flat at all. Sure, most of these songs don't have super-catchy hooks, but the rapping is solid/entertaining, the jokes are funny, and the production is great. Besides, it's a mixtape. Good hooks or not, they put it down. I like it.

But I also like Rhymesayers, so maybe it's a style thing.

I'm loving this album. Went to the release party at Santos, show was sloppy but good times and the record is better than most of the dooky out there. Why is every hip hop fan a super skeptic? How do you expect anyone to get any good when you slam them down on the hard concrete? Have you ever heard of community, support? Hello, if you love hip hop and someone is attempting it in a decent way, give love yo. Or shut the eff up and do it yourself.

hahahaha jk? is an anthem, cementing the deconstructionist style of das racist. The pizza hut/taco bell recording was only a preview of what they could really do. With "Sit down, Man" they provide an album with a different frame of reference from the standard hip-hop point of view (and with ease). They play with the standard hip-hop archetypes, from eminem to tribe. This group is able to blend 4chan culture, early 90's' rap, with a nod to the difficulties of race in modern American society.

I really liked "Shut Up, Dude" - it had significant 'misses' but I thought it had character and personality.

Sit Down, Man sounds over-produced to me. There's so much 'board-work' that in some cases the rap gets lost in the mix. All the fun and charm of the first mix seems lost here as various producers and guests try to get their own in.
