Held his own at the end of Glass House from Wiz' "Kush & Orange Juice" tape and on Devin's "Suite #420". Let's see how this shapes up.

Its a classic, hes next up, the next big thing. Will or at least should be at top of the game as a rapper, and producer in 3 years. Keep it up K.r.i.t. Would of easily paid a quick $10 for this. Release psychical copies, and I'll buy one.

@Quentin definitely agree about Moon & Stars, but I'm feelin alot of songs on this tape. Neva Go Back, Good Enough. Viktorious are my favorites with Moon & Stars. Also, on Viktorious, that track is just wow. Epic production just builds on Krits amazing flow, and to keep a flow like that with good lyrics, just an amazing track overall, and my favorite track overall on the mixtape.

wonderfully done. its been awhile since i've heard something that made me pause. i really liked it. and someone said something about the language? idk where but, i think that we (mid to south Louisiana) have a very specific style of talk. what we say has a different meaning elsewhere i guess. its all part of the southern flavor.

Ya boy Lokey from H-Town. Say young. I don't normally put comments. I just listen and keep pushin. I just heard you signed to Def Jam. Congratulations. Honestly you got my nigga Pimp feel in some songs but when you do you, you do you feel me. I put da homey up on you and the 1st thing he said was, "K.R.I.T. aint Sleep". I know you know what that means. Keep that shit up main. Everything you saying is A1 and how I feel all day. Don't let these people, devils, money.. nothing change you but the Most High. Gs in my city gone rock with you all day.

Like mister "King.Remembered.In.Time" said himself the game is a pound of reggie K.R.I.I provided what the South and Hip Hop needed after along run a "Breath of fresh Air". From my first listen I was blown away I had to recognize this not just another rapper making a song but dude explain his story being real with himself showing where he comes from using soul, poetry and wisdom.
K.R.I.T. definitely joins the new wave artists reppin the South (Yelawolf, Pill, J. Cole) working a vein of Southern Hospitality to the rap game, embracing the production architect of UGK's Pimp C, Outkat's and Organized Noise. K.R.I.T.'s ear is his biggest strength as a producer, on the sample selection tracks like "Return of Forever" and "Country Shit" put the stamp that the South isn't dead we do more than just dance and put our swag on a record, its template with 808s the heart of Southern rap letting the world know whats going on in our back yard. As a rapper, K.R.I.T. still seems to be building his own lane that hasn't been seen in a long time. Just as a producer he pushing boundaries with his production, his rap influences are the best of the best; choosing Pimp C someone who spoke there mind, wanted you to hear it exactly how he said it. has a little T.I. traits southern demeanor and lyrical flexibility serve a strong example for an artist uninterested in painting himself into a corner. then Outkast & Goodie Mob certainly laid a blueprint for his more socio-political verses. K.R.I.T. definitely laid foundation for a King to stand on. Overall the tape is strong "Hometown Hero", "Viktorious" just opens the tape up the verses are well thought out and delivered. other tracks like "Just Touched Down" and "See Me on Top" express self motivation; on live soul loops. Tracks like "They Got Us", "Children of the World", "Small as a Giant" and "Voices" where K.R.I.T.'s shows his art of storytelling... |

My first listen to Big KRIT went down about a year ago, long before anything came from him. His song Hometown Hero had 5,000 views and no one knew him. I waited and waited for K.R.I.T wuz Here to come out and when it did, I was not disapointed.
Unlike most rappers these days, KRIT does not rap about making money, or about how many cars he has. He spits fire and mixes in stories and the emotion that makes this track what it is. In my years, I have never heard anyone like him. He is no Tupac or Eminem. He is something in his own category. The songs are so relaxing, so chill and so emotional that just listening to one song makes me want to finish the whole album even if I'm doing something else. There is no way to describe KRIT wuz here except that it is a rhythmic and deep story through the life of a banger and real life PIMP. I would easily have dropped $20 on this album without thinking twice. It never gets old regardless of how many times you listen. |

Anyone know Big K.R.I.T.'s email. I bought this mixtape at his show Saturday at Randolph Macon Univ. and it won't play in any cd player. Hopefully he's not accidentally selling bad discs to everyone! Any ways...I'm gonna download it on here now for free but at least you got my $$ Saturday.
