DJ’s “Z”, Caliente & Arcen from DJBooth.net have interviewed legendary West Coast rap artist and icon, Warren G

Currently out in stores (his fifth full-length album) called In The Mid-Nite Hour is a realistic and balanced portrayal of the G Funk child’s musical evolution, introduced years ago in his original laaaiiiiidddddd back style. After more then two decades, Warren G is In The Mid-Nite Hour, his craft more honed, he himself wiser and more mature.

Special guest collaborators on this journey include longtime friends Snoop Dogg and Nate Dogg, West Coast veterans Ice Cube, Raphael Saadiq and Cypress Hill’s B-Real, chop and screw rap expert Mike Jones, and young rising stars such as Aftermath’s Bishop Lamont, Frank Lee White, Chuck Taylor, (the latter two signed to Warren’s G Funk Productions), Side Effect and Chevy Jones.

During the interview Warren talks about the current state of the hip-hop industry and the cultural impact of African American History Month.  He also names each and every position he played during his Pop Warner days and explains why Super Bowl XL sucked! Take a listen to this most classic interview.
