Alongside his boys Dirty Mouth and LA (aka Lil’ Atlanta), Don P sits a comfortable and happy man. Having been a producer since before the day he began to rap, Don P is a multi-tasking, uber-talented entrepreneur. Big words you say? Yes, considering while in his early twenties Don P can already boast about a multi-platinum album (Welcome to Trilville), an online radio show (trilltown.com), a record label (Trillvillans Inc.), the signing of fresh new industry talent (Gunnz, Sarah Stokes) and production work alongside Crunk movement starter Lil’ Jon.
The group’s new single, ’Stackin‘ (featuring production from Three 6 Mafia’s Juicy J and DJ Paul) couldn’t better represent what Don P and Trillville hope to do in 2006. Riding off of the success from their smash singles “Some Cut,” “Neva Eva,” and “Get Some Crunk in Your System,” the group hopes to accomplish bigger and better things with their upcoming fall 2006 release. Other highly-hyped singles produced by Oscar winners 3-6 include “Hew Haw” featuring Project Pat and “Yeeaah.”
During his interview with DJBooth.net’s DJ ”Z,” Don P explains his many undertakings the past year, what listeners can expect from the new album, and his feelings on rape charges against him finally getting dropped. PLUS… his newest Trillvillans Inc. signee, Sarah Stokes (Making the Band), joins the interview half way through and sings an impromptu acapella!
