With absolutely no pun intended, Bone Crusher has simply become too big for the rap game. Despite the huge success of his So So Def/Arista major label debut, AttenCHUN!, BC was left off of the artist roster when head CEO Jermaine Dupri took his label to Virgin and became the head of the urban department . However despite the label situation, Atlanta-born and based Wayne “Bone Crusher” Hardnett has stayed busy and slowly started to venture away from just being a rapper.
Throughout the next year, Bone Crusher will both release a new album (M.A.S.H.) and appear on two different cable television shows. Season four of Celebrity Fit Club will air this summer on VH1, while “Crashing the Kitchen with Bonecrusher” is still in production and will most likely see airtime next Fall. As for his sophomore album, guest features will include the Youngbloodz (who were also dropped by JD from So So Def), Bun B, Pimp C, Too Short and Marsha of Floetry. The album’s first single, Get Up On It, is currently infiltrating ears throughout the country and features a verse from chart topping Houston spitster, Chamillionaire.
During his interview with DJ’s “Z,” Caliente & Arcen, Bone Crusher reveals his love for cooking, up-coming projects from his own Vainglorious Entertainment and why he deserves credit for all of the current success of Atlanta hip-hop. PLUS… he says ”Bring It On,” as he proclaims that nobody in the world could handle him in a fight. Including Chuck Norris.
