GLM's TOP HIP HOP SINGLES

J. Cole J. Cole - “Lights Please”

“Ok, I had to take a second listen on this one, because FredRico posted the lyrics and the story line impressed me. It’s difficult at times getting pass the excessive rawness of certain traks. I have nothing against any forms of expression however; we will lose listeners when the message becomes too harsh. But, on the second time thru, I thought the trak was hot! I’ll have to listen to more of J Cole’s work because it is obvious that he is both lyrically talented and has level of intellect as well. Plus... that beat is sick and the story line is one that a lot a folks can relate too (smile). And I can’t say that I’ve heard a lot a songs that addressed this topic as successfully as J Cole so... Imma have to say this one is a banger!!”

Joell Ortiz Joell Ortiz - “Call Me”

“A very lite and fun trak! GREAT story told as well, along with a classic song from a past era. Song that made me smile and hit the "repeat" button. Very nice work!”

K. Sparks K. Sparks - “Slum Dog Millions”

“First time hearing this cat's music. Nice flow, crazy track behind his lyrics. Can't put him in the mix tho... a little too raw. Would feel it more on a cleaner version. Nice work tho!”
