foodstamp313's TOP HIP HOP SINGLES

Kandid McFly Kandid McFly - “Leave My Side”

“Whoa, this was just pure talent put to a real topic, and it took some balls to take it to the ending that it was. He coulda easily went with a happy ending, but took it down a darkside. It's one of those songs that truly gets some emotion out of you. Remember TQ album, definitely reminiscent of that”

Mike Posner Mike Posner - “Please Don't Go”

“I too, like others, had to listen to Cooler Than Me quite a few times before I dug it. He just reminded me of any other singer who you could tell was not that gifted as a singer, who had a good producer as a friend or something. You can tell he holds back in his vocals to keep on pitch. However, after looking into his work, he's the producer and writer of his own songs, which means he gets to keep the goods, so this dude is going to be around for a long time. Just ask Kanye about being able to spit over your best beats”

Big Boi Big Boi - “Dubbz ft. Backbone”

“I know that this is supposed to be based on rotation, and this will probably never see rotation...but this is old outkast comin' out...i mean people bitch about the state of hip hop, but this is the weird soundin' style that put outkast, and the south, on the map! I just went and copped all the old outkast albums just from listenin to this...”
