joshL's TOP HIP HOP SINGLES

1+1 Promo Photo Beyoncé - “1+1”

“Not something I usually hear at the DJBooth, so I had to adjust my ears for this one. Thankfully, I am a big r&b fan and my ears adjust quickly to the sound. In that case, this is an absolute burner! So so so much better than the first single.”

Body Work x F*ck My Brains Out Promo Photo The-Dream - “Body Work x F*ck My Brains Out”

“Yeah, epic is definitely the word in my book. I would consider giving both of these song classics individually so it's no surprise what my rating is combined.”

Wale Wale - “That Way”

“Lex Luger kind of surprised me going r&b on the beat. He does it well. As for Wale, I actually thought he had mad flow on this track and Ross wasn't bad, either. Jeremih was obviously the standout part of the track though, as it seems to me that all he does is kill ish!”

Phil Adé Phil Adé - “Speed of Sound ”

“Phil Ade always coming with it. I wasn;t a huge fan of the sample at first, but it grew on me quickly.”

ReturnOf4Eva Promo Photo Big K.R.I.T. - “ReturnOf4Eva”

“At first, I thought there was no chance this would be a classic, but after listening to it I was strongly considering it. K.R.I.T. is not there yet, but I don't think he is too far off. KIller album!”

Loud Promo Photo Rihanna - “Loud”

“Ok, yea you pretty much already know what you are going to get with a Rihanna album. It will be loaded with club-pop songs from start to finish that are as catchy as worms when fishing for trout. Its just sad that Rihanna doesn't make an attempt to expand her musical horizons and sticks with the same formula time after time. However, she has the formula down pat and is almost incapable of crafting an uncatchy and enjoyable song. I got to give her credit. Fav songs: 1.Fading 2.Raining Men 3.Only Girl (In The World)”

joshL's TOP MIXTAPES & STREET ALBUMS

{title} Rittz - White Jesus

“Now this is sick. I love Yelawolf and Rittz putting out similar music and sort of acting as a team. They can both spit lava. I saw someone took White Jesus over Trunk Muzik. While I do like more songs on White Jesus, Yela's quality on his best songs is what gives the nod to Trunk Muzik, imo.”

{title} Spree Wilson - The Never Ending Now

“Spree provided us with major quality on this mix/album. He obviously is a very talented individual and he fully displays his versatility on this mix/album. Well done.”

{title} Theophilus London - I Want You

“very solid street album. I was pleasantly surprised from Theophilus London, whom I had never heard of before. Dude is obviously talented and the production was banging from start to finish. Flying Overseas is the jam!”
