American Gangster Promo Photo Jay-Z - “American Gangster”

“This album is an undeniable classic. I'm a true fan of LYRICISTS and Jay is nothing less than that. "Ignorant Shit" with Beans is so epic I would understand why people don't love it because you don't GET IT. People wanna Give Lil Wayne credit, he aight but he ain't no jigga man. W ho cares about numbers the better artist, album, songs don't always do the best figuratively but hands down Jay has the better lyrics and better album and 50 don't talk about shit. he ain't moved nothing since that first album. He knows HIMSELF that his albums sell off hype and pretty much hype along (other than his loyal DICK riders) He even said on Tyra that he constantly talks shit to keep stuff going to keep a buzz around him, not in those words but the break down of it was that. American Gangster is a CLASSIC and nothing less. "Ignorant Shit" "Say Hello" "Success" "Party Life" "Sweet" & "No HOOK" OMFG r yall serious this is still in rotation in the MP3 and any one who does not like it, in my opinion you CAN'T be a real hip hop head to deny these lyrics. Jay's swag proves to be too much I guess, Glad to see Nathan is among the real that recognized because a lot of mf's didn't!”

Day26 Promo Photo Day26 - “Day26”

“PLEASE For their first time out of the gate and for DIDDY to have his cursed hand all up in it this was a GREAT album. I did not expect them to come out this good. Granted I feel they will improve SO MUCH on the next album (BE IT THEY GET ONE IF DIDDY FIND ENOUGH TIME TO FOCUS AND STOP MAKING ALL THEM DAMN BABIES). It starts off with "I Know This" which totally takes me back to some old school R&B with the beat and the harmonies I mean early 90's. I love the sass of it even though they are dudes and love what they are saying. Because females do get brand new on a brotha sometimes lol Could have done without "Got ME Going" Totally I mean I personally think it was a HORRIBLE choice as far as single potential. Like Nathan said "Exclusive would have been better" I think the following single should have been "Together" which performing live would have been so hot if they killed it at the end with the audience clapping to the beat and them singing Acapella. but the actual single was "Since You've been gone" which was on because it had the most radio potential. "Co-Star" which is my FAVORITE song on the album should have been released right after and I have a PERFECT video for it but the time has passed lol. "Don't Fight the Feeling" LOVE Mike on that song. and "If It Wasn't For You" is such a great song and I love their voices on it and can bring you to tears while making you appreciate what you have in the process. Like I said for the first album out of the box I think they did the damn thing and I think next album, if they throw in 3 or 4 Ballads 3 better dance tracks than "Got Me Going" garbage and stick with B.Cox and maybe bring in Ne-yo for some added freakiness to the lyrical content the sophomore album could be everything BUT a JINX!”

The Odd Couple Promo Photo Gnarls Barkley - “The Odd Couple”

“As a HUGE Gnarls Fan I must say I give this album 5 only because I can't stomach giving it a 4. However I DO think that St. Elsewhere was the better album. I liked the ENTIRE album of St. Elsewhere and Odd Couple only about 85%. Best Songs are. Surprise, Who's Gonna Save My Soul, Going On, Neighbor, No Time Soon, Blind Mary, She Knows (which could either be about his mother which I think it is, or about a girl you loved and never wills top loving no matter what. either way incredibly heart-wrenching to me). In order to love Gnarls Barkley I think you have to be a true lover of music and have a great appreciation for nothing less than perfect arrangements. You also have to be a freak for lyrics and like lyrics that make you think. You can not listen to the words and only think they mean what they say on the surface because it is ALWAYS more in depth than that, it's never what it seems with Cee-Lo. You have to be careful with the words as they could easily carry 2 or 3 different meanings depending on who you are, or where you are in life at this time. They take you to another place, Make you think so hard sometimes it's scary and depress you and bring you back up all in one song lol. Nathan you did a great review! Gnarls is Unbeatable I do agree that Cee-Lo should do another Solo album I think when he does this time around it will be undeniable as Gnarls Barkley. I DO However want them to continue making music together. To take it a way at this point would be a terrible CRIME. =)”
