Peetski's TOP HIP HOP SINGLES

Pure Pure - “Walkin”

“This is a nice song, mostly due to the beat they sampled. It is basically the whole intro to "Um, Um, Um, Um, Um, Um" by Major Lance. It is a great song on it's own, classic Chicago soul sound written by Curtis Mayfield. You can check it out on my imeem profile (search for peetski) if you are interested.”

The-Dream The-Dream - “Falsetto (Remix)”

“Does anybody remember when remix meant that you re-mixed the beat and made it sound different (ala most of Kels's remixes over the years) instead of just chunking a verse from lil wayne or ludacris onto the original track? Nothing wrong with guest spots and both of those rappers are fire, but I appreciate this one for actually doing something interesting and changin up the production. I like the track, but then I always have been a sucker for the double-time bootyshake remixes.”

Outkast
Outkast - “The Art of Storytellin (Part 4) ft. Marsha Ambrosius”

“This is why Andre is my favorite rapper hands down. Weezy is killin it and deserves the title king of the guest spot cuz he is everywhere, but I'll put Dre's verses up against his anytime, from Throw Some D's, or Player's Anthem, or the Lloyd remix, or especially this one here. I agree with bottom boi, Weezy and Dre are both killin it on a different level than everyone else out there, but for the most part Wayne doesnt reflect the depth of thought that Dre does almost everytime around.”

“Off the chain. Sometimes when an artist is good enough and they move off in some weird-ass unexpected direction you simply have to follow them where they go because sometimes, even if it takes you a hot second to see it, it turns out that that direction that they are moving in, it is forward.”
