“The female vocalist on this record is Graph Nobel, one third of Talib Kweli's new group Idle Warship. The Clipse are not only my favorite rap duo, but they are one of my favorite rap acts period (solo and group). Yeah, this song isn't the coke-rap Clipse we love, but it shows how they can't be boxed into one signature style either. In fact, a lot of the songs on "TTCD" show Malic and Pusha's ability to incorporate mainstream characteristics into their performances while still keeping it real at the same time. I heard the video for "Champion" is suppose to debut on ESPN? Haha I can so picture ESPN playing this song during NBA games before they cut to commercial break.”

“Sick review, Nathan. I was really happy to see that you made "Train of Thought" such a big part of your review because a lot of folks are inevitably going to be doing a ton of comparing and, as a result, a lot of criticizing too. But like you said, it's not 2000 anymore and both Hi-Tek and Talib are 10-years deeper in their careers. People need to realize that classic albums are classic albums for a reason, so why try to "remake" them? The overall scheme of "Revolutions Per Minute" isn't what I expected, but at the end of the day, it's new QUALITY music from a duo we all feel in love with a decade ago. Now all we need is a Black State reunion...”
